"Louis hotels always seem to have great food. Although there is just the one buffet restaurant used for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the range of food available is superb and always of the highest quality. How many other AI hotels could you go to and have mussels twice in a 4 day stay, each dish different and beautifully prepared. The seafood terrine in the salad section for lunch on day 2 was amazing, and the carvery choices on Sunday evening really were excellent. Also, all the desserts are proper dishes, not the flavourless sponge and jelly and catering cream with 5 different bright but tasteless coloured toppings you get in most AI restaurants. These were true desserts like strawberry mousse, tiramisu cake, chocolate and caramel gateaux etc.
Away from the food, both pool areas were clean with plenty of sunbeds and sunshades. It would have been nice to have some waiter service around the beds. The grass area at the bottom of the main pool by the coast path was great to stop at. You can access both the beach and the main pool and you get extra shade from the palms and some more breeze. Despite what people say about the room conditions, ours was fully functional and clean. The decor is a little tired however all the lights, taps and sockets work, the kitchenette area was very well equiped and we had a corner room (upgraded) which stayed very cool and shaded. Finally, we would have liked a bar option separate from the entertainment area and all the staff are very friendly."
