"We hit the bonanza in finding this hotel on a road trip home. Two other layover towns were a bust for hotel and steak house. Driving father north, we looked into Chico. We have never been to Chico but were looking for a nice steak house and hotel. We found the perfect restaurant with this gem (Diamond) of a hotel to stay that was only two blocks from the restaurant. Free parking and free breakfast were added perks. The hotel was very clean, classy and comfortable. It felt and looked like a vintage, antique hotel but with all the modern amenities. Crazy enough, we would divert from I-5 next time just to stay here. It's great to know that we now have a destination hotel when traveling between Oregon and southern California. We had a lovely dinner, then walk back to hotel for a night cap at the bar. A perfect evening."

"We reserved a room because it was close to the Cal State Chico campus. It was affordable and easy! Loved the free breakfast! The room was great for four people. Although some noise in the night, but overall our stay her was great! Definitely recommend."

"A ABSOLUTELY loved our Stay! We are locals in the middle of a remodel so we finally wanted to check the place out! Huge bathtubs large rooms and very convenient for the casino. The only downfall is there is no hotel parking it's just regular parking so we had to make several trips to bring our stuff in. Other than that 5 stars!!! My favorite hotel I stayed at on my long trip!!"

"The staff has been very accommodating, I have stayed here a few times and they have arranged for me to stay in the same room every time. They have been very helpful even with my late night check ins. The area is close to downtown and I feel very safe, the parking is well lit and staff is in the office 24hrs, the rooms are very quiet. "
