Hotel Riu Palace Antillas - Adults Only - All Inclusive
8/10 Good
"My first solo trip to Aruba and I felt safe and comfortable on the resort. Although, I sent a request for an upgraded room, my room was far from ocean front and then to learn you needed to be part of the Elite club to have a room facing the ocean was disappointing. After, waiting hours for my room and it still wasn't ready, I was given another room that was overlooking the roof, they switched me again to a partial view of the ocean. The hotel is dated and can use some renovations but staff kept the beverages stocked and clean sheets/towels.
Nonetheless, staff was amazing, special shout out to Elena, one of the hostess in the dinning rooms. She gave special attention to my birthday and assured that I had a great dinner! She should be promoted with a raise!
The food choices were great, drinks was flowing at the bar. The pool entertainment was fun. The evening entertainment needs a overhaul not entertaining at all.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay!"
"This is a good property for adults and for families. There is an adult pool section and a family pool section. The adult pool section does close early around 7pm. Breakfast buffet is certainly heavily on the family dining however outside seating lends itself more towards couples or the mature diners.
The location is great and right on the beach. For a $50 fee you can rent a nice lounge chair on the beach with an umbrella; which makes for a lovely day.
Check-in and check-out were easy. As with any resort, you do need to check to make sure the charges which appear on your folio are indeed yours. I had one errant charge that staff immediately removed. My 5 night stay was most enjoyable."
"Spacious room and the grounds are well maintained. No elevator for 2nd and 3rd floor in our building. Pools are very nice. Restaurants are many. Room had a smell about it. Unfortunately, given all the other options on Aruba, a return is unlikely"
"This was the cleanest resort we have ever stayed on in Aruba. The service was top notch, the food was incredible poolside bites, all the restaurants and drinks. It had a cafe with coffee and food that was so convenient, it had healthy options for meals. The service was phenomenal. Maid service came 2-3 times a day to freshen the room and give more towels and the turn down service was the cherry on top!!
Pools were so relaxing and amazing. All of the cushions and chairs were clean and high end. The music was great, all the rooms had connectable Bluetooth to play your own music in the room and balcony. It was serene and quiet and the beach was large and beautiful. We could not have asked for a more relaxing 8 days."
Holiday Inn Resort Aruba - Beach Resort & Casino by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"Great resort. Location was perfect for easy access to restaurants and tons of shopping. Staff was very helpful with any questions and always friendly. I know it’s not an only adults resort but maybe one of the three pools would be designated for adults only. Otherwise would absolutely recommend the Holiday Inn Resort."
