"Astonishingly beautiful renovated palace with stunningly kept gardens and fountains. Fruit trees and flowers abound. The rooms are tastefully furnished with antiques and are spacious and light filled. The restaurant is closed on Monday so it’s a challenge to get food as it’s a long drive from town. The breakfast buffet is excellent especially the seating area. I would return here just to stay here again!"

"It was an old hotel but clean. There is no reception desk so you have to go thru the bar to register and also thru the bar to get to your room. A bit different. "It is a pleasure to write a review of Casa das Capelas. It is a large and beautiful, fully renovated, historical building, set in lovely grounds. My excellent room looked out over rolling countryside. So peaceful. And the owners were extremely hospitable. There is a great patio to have a glass of wine, meet a few locals and eat a light dinner. Highly recommended. I will definitely stay here again next time I am in the area."
