Wonderful peaceful place that overlooks the ocean. Nice pool, good food, bar, it’s off the beaten path a bit so get a scooter. They are very accommodating for anything you need. Brought me a scooter for 500php a day. Nice little Honda. Laura who runs the place and her boyfriend are really great people. You will feel like an old friend. Reasonably priced compared to every one else around. Not necessarily a beach but access to the water for snorkeling. I spent a week and would definitely stay again.

We just completed a 5 night stay at the Cliffside resort. The owner (Julia) is extremely friendly and takes pride in her staff and resort. The staff is friendly and very accommodating, any requests we had were immediately met with no questions asked!! The rooms are clean, and the food was great!! If you are looking for a place to stay where the staff treats you like friends instead of guests, then I'd recommend staying at the Cliffside Resort when you are in Bohol. I know the next time I'm in Bohol, I'll be back at the Cliffside.

Great place, great view and friendly staff

Great place! We were here one night 8/1 2025 and wished we’d booked some more nights. Location: beautiful by the sea. A little off from the main beach but it doesn’t matter. Taxis are cheap and the location is great. Room: nice, clean, with AC and spacious room. Common area: beautiful pool overlooking the sea. Nice dining area with electricity if you need to work from your computer. Staff: very nice, happy, helpful and accommodating. Food: good prices and good taste. Overall: great!

It’s all good.

It is a beautiful location. The resort is quiet, clean and the staff are amazing. If you need any assistance regarding bookings or bike rentals, just ask the staff. They will help you. Overall it was a great place and we would stay there again.

Ok to stay

The maintenance of the hotel needed to be improved in various way. The communication with the staffs are not the best, make sure to double check the price before booking tour. It’s 10 minutes tricycle drive from the Alona Beach, peaceful place with a saw a beautiful sunset view. Tour to Balicasag Island it’s really cool to depart from the hotel! Highly recommend to book it with hotel. If you are staying in the room in 14 there is extremely slow Wi-Fi, or not accessible over there due to distance to the main place. In general, nice peaceful location, nice swimming pool.

First and foremost if you come here DO NOT eat here. They are extremely unhygienic.. we orders a fish and chips, and it came with MAGGOTS! The staff didn’t flinch as they took the plate away. No apology nothing. I ran to throw my guts up in the washroom. Let’s talk about the cleanliness. For the price this place shouldn’t be this damn run down. We arrived the first night LATE, came into the room to see buggs on the bed. Woke up to see a whole as ant colony (no exaggeration) in the out side coffee table. Went to make some coffee opened the kettle they provide.. full of bugs . The walls have grime on it, like they haven’t seen a wipe down in years. The hot water shuts off every five minutes and you have to hit the breaker to turn it on. I will be leaving a google review with pictures , you can see the evidence there. This place should be 50 dollars tops 70 for the amount of grime and buggs you are sleeping with. The maggots in the food was the cherry on top.

Rooms are very basic: a couple beds; decent space; few other amenities. No electric kettle, cups, coffee, etc. The food in the restaurant is quite good. I was surprised. There's no other food options close by however. The staff will call you a tricycle for transportation.

If you want spectacular views of the ocean, this place has it. The cost is very modest and the accommodations are decent. I have stayed at many resorts in this area but none have these views. The road to the resort is very bad but otherwise the most bang for the buck for what you get.

A most lovely, refreshing place to relax, swim, feel the ocean breeze. Enjoy the full cable TV. Eat food that is fantastic, well prepared, while enjoying looking at distant islands, the changing colors of the water, and the local fishermen. I been to several resorts on area islands and this is one of the best
