Staff was wonderful. Cockroaches in bathroom were a pain . Location was great. I would stay there again. Breakfast was wonderful. Best of my trip. Evening restaurant I would skip eating here. So many better places in Panjim.

Overall experience: 10/10. The food was great, and the staff was very friendly and cooperative. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient. A couple of constructive suggestions: • The room should have a second key for the second guest staying in the same room. • The elevator has an unpleasant odor that needs attention. Overall, a wonderful stay — highly recommended!

It is very close to many attractions in Panjim, walkable distance to Fontainhas. Room was clean and decent. But i have to say food quality was not great, for the price of stay, kinda disappointed in that. But overall staff was friendly and pretty quiet area.

I wouldn’t stay here again

I could not praise the staff I met highly enough. They succeeded in solving every problem with a smile. But did there really need to be so many problems? The fridge that didn’t work likewise tv box (both swapped out) Wfi issues, key card failures. The strip light over the tv that could not be switched off and had to be disconnected. They were able to change our room when our drunken neighbours kept us awake for two nights. The rooms had interconnecting doors which made them noisy. This is a Casino Hotel, not something mentioned on Hotels.com (I would not have booked if they had) and therefore prone to groups of noisy men. To be positive breakfasts were good and the rooms cleaned thoroughly and of a good size. Don’t bother paying for a river view, the noise from the many riverside casinos is awful. Good central location nice pool.
Pool, shame the jacuzzi didn’t work.

Best Hotel in Panaji

I’m quite sure this is the nicest hotel in central Panaji. You never really know until you are actually there. But I find it hard to imagine that anybody would be unsatisfied with a stay at the Crown Goa. The location is perfect, everything is close enough to walk. It sits like a crown, perched a top a hill, overlooking the Mandovi River An easy elevator ride gets you up to the hotel terrace. A river view room is well worth the extra money. I had a spectacular view out over the bougainvillea lined terrace to the river below. Each night, lit up party boats would run up and down the river. All of the staff were exceedingly polite and friendly. You will be greeted at least five or six times as you enter or leave the hotel, by wait staff, security, and maintenance crews. The hotel is beautiful in form and impeccably clean. There is an outstanding restaurant that offers a huge breakfast spread with many Indian hot dishes and breakfast items. The dinner menu is so varied, the food so good, and the poolside terrace such a beautiful place to dine, that I chose to eat there all three nights in Goa, despite the large number of restaurants nearby. I can scarcely believe I chose such a phenomenal hotel without having actually seen it. It is the only place I will stay when visiting Panaji.

Excellent

Excellent 4 days vacation experience in Panaji at the Crown Hotel. Maintenance and service was excellent. All staff members were always helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel was also excellent. Surprisingly, Goa (Panaji at least) was unseasonably hot (it was 35 degrees in the middle of January) this year, even though other cities in India we visited during the same trip were a lot cooler and comfortable. But that made returning to the hotel even more of a sanctuary.

Perfectly located within walking distance from restaurants and shopping. Room service staff were very helpful. Our check-in could have been better handled. We arrived at 1.45 and had to wait as rooms were not ready. Reception staff were flustered and not helpful. It took us almost an hour after we arrived to get our rooms. Except for reception staff at the time everything about this hotel is excellent.

Excellent Comfortable hotel

We had booked Superior room with river views but we were initially given a room with substandard bathroom. I had to complain and request for another room. Anil the housekeeping person was kind and moved us to another room with spacious clean bathroom. Breakfast was incredible. Sandeep at the restaurant fulfilled our request for freshly made ginger tea everyday.

Outdated, worn, rundown and poorly maintained.

Paint in my room chipped, bathroom furniture flaked paint (was rectified), tiny ant invasion in bathroom. Table stained and worn, paint extremely worn. Floors look stained but are chipped. Staircases lots of steps chipped. Cleaning mediocre, nothing cleaned behind doors. Room is quite noisy as door has several gaps around. And the acoustics in the central hall leaves a lot to be desired. Noting, except the price, indicated a 5 star hotel.

The hotel is located right in the heart of Panjim. Many areas around are walkable. Old Goa and Miramar beach are a short cab ride away. The hotel staff was great.

Good location, nice hotel, not 5-star though

My room was big and comfortable, with a mini-fridge. The staff was helpful. It's listed as a 5-star hotel, but in reality it could be viewed as a truly excellent 3-star or a so-so 4-star. The breakfast only had a few selections, but several of them changed every day, which is a good thing when you stay several days. My room was on the top floor, and there must be a metal roof, because it rained on my last day and it was so loud in the room I couldn't think. I also fault the hotel for turning up on the hotels.com website under the filter "Includes airport shuttle", which turned out to be false (although other hotels had shuttles waiting at the airport when I arrived).

everything about the property was good. great location and walking distance to the main post office bus stand but the internet was horrible, it was too slow in the evening , we were on the 4th floor and my son had to work at night as we were from US , he could not work in the room, very very very slow internet. it was ok on the main floor but noisy and the internet room was not open since covid. he had to book another hotel to save his job and it cost him extra 1000 dollars. the customer service said their IT guy will have everything ready before we are there but he did not do anything to fix the problem as problem was with the speed of the internet .if you are for vacation only best place to stay but if IT person trying to work at night , it is not for you unless they have high speed internet.
