We enjoyed our week-long stay at Seasense and would give it a 4.5 score if we could. This small 63-room adult-only boutique hotel is beautifully designed and the rooms are well appointed. Service is friendly and attentive, but can be slow at mealtimes. The exclusive beach is quite small and shallow but fine for a splash or a snorkel. The pretty à la carte restaurant is right by the sea, and there was no shortage of loungers, including with shade. The small pool is heated and lovely for a quick dip. The modest spa and sauna is a nice touch. Two issues however. First, noise from the road: the hotel is sandwiched on a small strip or land between the main coast road and the sea. More importantly, we found the food quite variable: occasionally excellent, always presented beautifully, but often bland and under-seasoned and cold. A shame given the reputation of Mauritian cuisine. Also, half the menu items (and nearly all the fish options) are subject to hefty supplements. The buffet night (combined with a free cocktail party for guests) was however enjoyable.

Some issues overridden by gr8 staff and setting

Arrived two days after the hotel opened so naturally there were teething issues, that holds back a perfect rating. In addition some things weren't ready to go (limited water sports whilst equipment arrived/limited spa availability as work was completing) However, the setting is beautiful and rooms open up directly to the beach. The staff were fantastic and helpful when things went wrong. Day by day we saw the changes in decor etc which was lovely. The food was very tasty. Would love to come back in a month or so as I imagine it will be great with the team there. Special mention to Jason and Satish who were very helpful.

Good hotel, but troublesome reception staff

Our stay at the hotel was very pleasant, except for a few minor inconveniences caused by the reopening of the hotel just a few days before our arrival. Due to the exceptional cleaning services, and restaurant staff, and overall view, we first wanted to give the hotel a 4 out of 5 stars rating. HOWEVER, the incompetence of the reception staff is causing me a very expensive problem of almost €1200 to this day. Even though we explained to the receptionist that our hotel stay had already been paid through Expedia, they have charged my credit card without my authorisation. Expedia has been trying to get our money back for a month now, but the hotel is not replying to their enquires, which is absolutely unacceptable for a 5-star hotel. This has cast a shadow over our otherwise wonderful holiday and has caused a lot of unnecessary stress and work for me.

nice beach, nice room, but one night no electricity and no water ,so we cannot take shower. And the most important thing are they are not honest! They try to charge us in different way, they send us the bill before check out, it said we order coconut in the bar that we never visit , it said we took the chocolate from mini bar which we never take. then we explained to the reception and settled. When I back to home for a few weeks later, we received bank statement, the hotel charge our room rate again, but we paid to expedia already! Then I report to expedia, expedia said the hotel didn't reply them.Really? it's over one month still no reply?! Now I hope expedia /hotel can refund to me if they are wrongly charge instead of stealing customer's money from credit card. otherwise , if ppl want to stay at this hotel should think before u stay, DOUBLE charge! i m not the only one

Wunderschönes Hotel, tropischer Palmengarten, schöner Beach mit klarem Wasser, wobei jedoch ständig Algen angespült wurden, welche gerochen haben und nur gelegentlich abgebaggert wurden. Geräumige, komfortable, stilvolle Zimmer, mit Ausblick und direktem Zugang zum Meer. Bad nicht gut konzipiert und viel zu dunkel (Schminken oder Rasieren war Glücksache). Sehr freundliches, höfliches und hilfsbereites Personal, in einen Bereichen fast schon aufdringlich. Grösstes Manko unsererseits : die Verpflegung. Frühstückbuffet: viel zu wenig Auswahl, nur mittelmässige Qualität (eher 3 oder 4 Stern Hotel) und jeden Tag exakt das Gleiche. Dinner: meist "a la Card", wobei die Karte nur ganz wenige Speisen für die Halbpension auswies. Der grösste Teil der Speisen war mit (gesalzenen) Aufpreisen auf die Halbpension versehen. Ein absolutes No go. Die Speisen wurden optisch ganz im Stil eines Michelin Sternes präsentiert, Qualität und vor allem Geschmack konnten diesem Anspruch leider nicht gerecht werden. Mit 2 Ausnahmen hat uns nichts geschmeckt und 2 Gerichte mussten wir leider zurückgehen lassen. Alles in Allem ein wirklich schönes Hotel in paradiesischer Umgebung ideal für Paare, aber die Küche können wir leider nicht weiter empfehlen. ;-))

Sehr freundliches Personal, wunderschönes Restaurant mit Blick aufs Meer, tolle Beach Bar. Sehr gepflegte Anlage mit vielen hohen Palmen und anderen tropischen Pflanzen Ein paar Stechmücken waren da und Salamander, auch einer im Zimmer, aber das ist in der tropischen Region normal. Man kann nicht so gut außerhalb spazieren gehen, viele frei laufende Hunde.

Uns hat das Hotel sehr gut gefallen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Besonders war auch die Qualität der Speisen und der Blick aufs Meer beim Essen. Das einige was hätte besser sein können war der feuchte Geruch im Zimmer und teilweise ist das Bad (besonders die Fugen) etwas Renovierungsbedürftig. Zudem wird am Strand sehr viel Seegras angespült. Dennoch kann man im Meer ganz normal schwimmen. Wir würden die Unterkunft dennoch jederzeit wieder buchen, da sie so erholsam ist.

Nous avons eu la chance de séjourner dans plusieurs hôtels au cours de nos voyages, mais celui-ci restera pour nous une expérience exceptionnelle. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été touchés par l’accueil chaleureux, le professionnalisme et l’attention sincère de toute l’équipe. Nous nous sommes sentis privilégiés du début à la fin. L’hôtel est magnifique : plage paradisiaque, piscines superbes, chambre luxueuse où chaque détail est pensé avec soin. Les petites attentions quotidiennes, les décorations florales et l’ambiance générale nous ont énormément touchés. Un immense merci également au spa, qui a été une véritable découverte pour nous puisque c’était notre tout premier massage. Les praticiennes ont de l’or dans les mains. Leur douceur, leur professionnalisme, leur gentillesse et l’atmosphère apaisante du lieu nous ont permis de vivre un moment inoubliable. Nous avons adoré l’emplacement à Belle Mare, plus sauvage et calme, parfait pour se ressourcer. Merci aussi aux équipes organisant les excursions ainsi qu’aux animations de l’hôtel, notamment la soirée barbecue que nous avons adorée. Enfin, la nourriture était incroyable du petit-déjeuner au dîner, et la propreté irréprochable. Mention spéciale également au parfum de l’hôtel qui restera associé à de merveilleux souvenirs. Merci infiniment pour cette parenthèse magique à l’île Maurice. Chambre 232, la cliente aux cheveux tressés et son conjoint fan de votre rhum vanille 🌴✨

Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt, das Personal sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und äußerst hilfsbereit. Frühstücksbuffet ist reichhaltig, ebenso die Speisekarte. Wir hatten Halbpension und es gab auch hier die Möglichkeit sich das Mahl zusammen zu stellen.

Ein wunderbares und schönes Hotel. Da und dort etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Es wird aber rücksichtsvoll für die Gäste renoviert. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit einer Terrasse und direktem Zugang zum lediglich 20 Meter entfernten Strand (eigentlich lag unser Zimmer direkt am Strand). Das war ein Highlight und absolut zu empfehlen. Der Strand ist sehr gepflegt. Alles in allem ist alles sehr sauber und gepflegt. Das gesamte Personal ist freundlich, herzlich, aufmerksam und sehr zuvorkommend. Vor allem beim Servicepersonal sind uns Jerome und Silvana sehr ans Herz gewachsen. Die Küche ist hervorragend. Das Frühstücksbuffet am Morgen und das Dreigängemenü am Abend lassen keine Wünsche offen. In den drei Wochen waren wir zweimal im Spa und haben nebst Sauna auch Massagen gebucht. Shika und Kasana haben uns hervorragend im Spa begleitet. Eigentlich ist um 11:30 Uhr Checkout. Das Management hat uns aber einen Late-Checkout ermöglicht und so konnten wir vor unserem Abflug die Annehmlichkeiten des Hotels bis zur Abreise am frühen Abend geniessen. Vielen lieben Dank, Youna und dem Management. Ein Urlaub im Seasense Boutique Hotel & Spa ist wirklich zu empfehlen.

Fantastisk ophold hvor billederne levede op til alt - og mere til! Service niveauet var sublimt og der var vitterligt ikke en finger at sætte på noget.

Eine sehr gelungene und ruhige Anlage- übersichtlich. Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Großes Frühstücksbüfett und Abendessen sehr aufwendig. Wer Abendessen mit bucht muss sich mit einfacheren Essen abfinden. Jederzeit kann ein Upgrade genommen werden. Preise sind sehr sportlich, vor allem für Aktivitäten und Spa. Sich unbedingt nach Alternativen umschauen.

The staff and general service levels were superb. Nothing was too much trouble. It's situated on a nice beach with a good sea swimming area. The rooms were clean and modern. Highly recommended.

All staff was very friendly and not over the top so you feel very comfortable. We stayed in the Royal Sea suite and the private pool is definitely a wonderful luxury. You are also on the edge of the resort so you get more privacy. Food was great, they accommodate dietary requirements ... nothing to fault. And did I mention the view is just stunning?
