"We stay at Hammock at least twice a year for the last 10 years. We usually book direct through the website or stay with family under their reservation, we take turns booking. We used the hotels.com app this time for the rewards we earn.
Love this place and specifically choose it even though it is significantly more expensive than other options in the area because the amenities are great and the rooms and condos are luxurious, high quality and fantastic.
This time we were really disappointed as the cleaning staff skipped our room both days, even though we saw them in the hall both days. It’s really hard to do a pool and beach vacation without fresh towels and we would have liked to have our beds made and garbages emptied.
The “premium” one bedroom we booked was in fact only an open concept room with no separate bedroom and there were no laundry machines. To be fair, we didnt verify laundry but didn’t think to because every other time we have stayed there has been laundry and we took it for granted. We usually cook our meals in the condo and the kitchen was only a kitchenette without any cooking utensils.
Lastly, the shower head and one of the bathroom taps were not in good shape at all, again, it’s really important to be able to have a good shower on a beach/pool vacation. They were both clogged or worn, I’m not sure which, but the pressure was both non existent and spraying all over the place. Certainly not the level of quality we would expect for Hammock. "
