"Excellent location....down a small lane but felt safe enough. Staff could not have been nicer. Rooms are well equipped as an aprthotel. However the bed was only accessible from the one side as the other side was against the wall, so it was either clamber over each other or shuffle down the bed. Not ideal. Also 9am the cleaning started and the slabs on the walkways made for a ver loud cleaning trolley which woke us up every morning. Not ideal. The bed was v comfortable tho. "

"Great location that was just a little bit off the main traffic area, which was actually very nice. The staff was extremely helpful and housekeeping did a great job. The beds are very comfortable here. One issue is that the showers do not have a door so there’s a tendency for water to get all over the bathroom floor, which we corrected with many towels. We did not use the restaurant for breakfast, but instead used a great patisserie right around the corner."

"Our stay at Hotel Grand Francais was fantastic. One of the most underrated elements was that there was an amazing cocktail bar associated with the Hotel that was standout. The location felt very secure, was convenient to a ton of restaurants. The room was very clean and service was great. The breakfast spread was also delicious. Cafes and restaurants seemed to open quite late, so would recommend taking advantage of the breakfast. Would absolutely stay again when in Bordeaux!"

"We had the 1-bedroom suite. It came with two full bathrooms and super spacious. Room is beautifully decorated with separation curtains. We love it! And it is right at the center plaza opposite the opera house!"

"It's pretty well located and well run. It's a little bit run down feel but not too bad. It's close to a tram stop and takes about 20 minutes to walk into the old town centre. "
