I don’t understand the recent positive reviews! They suckered us into a terrible experience :-(
Our first room was very filthy… stuff all over floors, holes in sheets, severe water damage on wall (so likely mold behind?!?), and dirty surfaces. My wife dampened a white cloth and wiped around the sink and part of the desk, see photo of cloth :-(
As if all that was not enough… I was the one to clear out our room. I messed up and did not grab my wife’s small clothing bag from a shelf in a nook next to the sink. Upon arriving at home and realizing our mistake, we immediately contacted the hotel. Every time I was told they didn’t have it but would check with housekeeping and get back with me… they wouldn’t get back! I called the morning after, was told to call back in 30 minutes and did, was told at that time they would check with house keeping and let me know… after 6 hours I called back and was agin told they would ask around… next day same run around, told they would call back and after 6 hours I called agin and told again I would get a call back. Today I called to check on yesterday and was hung up on.
We are now out several hundred dollars in clothing (bike shorts, some recently purchased performance shirts, and misc) and paid too much for unacceptable conditions.
I have contacted Wyndham customer service and for the first time was treated with concern! The hotel never offered any reconciliation but the customer service rep said to expect an acceptable solution in a week.
