This is a great place with great people. No this is not a 5 star accommodation, but it was clean, the staff is great and it’s just the right mix of rustic and creature comforts.

very friendly and accommodating staff helped us with all our issues. the rooms were great, and even bigger than we expected. All very clean and comfortable. big restaurant with lots of choices. the overall venue felt a little more corporate than homely, but if you want a quiet place to be left alone to swim and sit on the beach with lots of space, then it is perfect.

The Villa was clean!! Staff, so helpful & super friendly, from the security guard, receptionists, bar & restaurant staff & the caretakers. Family-friendly. Children were safe & they had lots of fun! Air-conditioning was not necessary at this time on account of how breezy it was.

This is not a swanky resort. Seems to be used mostly by divers for a night or two. The food was not good, basic western menus done badly - greasy breakfast, pasta with jarred sauce, pizza that was missing toppings. We went off site and found the burger place next door to it Beach Bum Burgers, was seriously good quality gourmet burgers, homemade and served by the owners, and there's little 'Raj's restaurant' 5 mins up the main road, that did the nicest chicken curry (ask for boneless), it was only $12.50FJD. The few staff on site at Uprising were friendly, the bure was very close to the waters edge, and the grounds were nicely maintained. The drawers by the bed were broken and the bathroom sink was coming away from the base. If you want a no frills resort with friendly locals then I recommend this, if you want luxurious surroundings then steer clear.

We have returned to the Uprising after 6 years. The staff are still genuinely lovely and the place still looks beautiful But at a closer look, I’d say it needs some TLC. In our villa, half the light bulbs didn’t work. The outdoor shower crusted with build up. The sliding door handle falling off. We had a wonderful Lovo traditional evening with live show. All in all still a good, affordable option in Pacific Harbor

Uprising is a boutique “resort” on the beach. Water is shallow which suits young kids, or there is a pool. Bures appear to be under renovation. Villas are good for parents with up to 2 kids. Bathroom is huge but there is also an amazing outdoor shower for each villa. Staff are very kind and personable. We came by local bus from Nadi but would recommend having a rental car to get about. Within walking distance is the Arts Centre which is just opening after major construction works. This recreates an authentic village with an extensive discussion of cultural practices, chiefdom, ancient history etc. After 8 days here, we had tried most of the menu with no complaints. Skipped lunch most days as continental breakfast is 3 course(designed for rugby players) or smorgasbord , depending on crowd size. If you want to be crammed in with hundreds of others, go to the big resorts on the Coral Coast. We had a few days on Beachcomber Island before coming here, so we’re happy not to do snorkeling type trips from here, but they are available. Overall, highly recommended!

The customer service is top notch. Great staff. The Bare's are quite nice and the dorm could use a little love with the screens / lockers, but overall the Bula Bula vibe is real and the location is amazing- right on the beach - not far to Aquatrek- where I highly recommend the shark diving!
