"Hotel El Faro is a beautiful hotel by the beach with a big swimming pool and a pool bar. The staff at the restaurant and bar were excellent and helpful. Also the cleaning staff was very nice and cooperative with cleaning hours. Our problem was the management of the hotel. The manager would not let all members of our group to check in to the hotel as the hotel had some connection problem with Expedia. "The property is absolutely stunning, I walked around with my mouth open most of the time because it’s so beautiful. I got an offer to upgrade to the deluxe standard room for an extra $10 and it’s is a really pretty room. Good water pressure, comfy bed, a safe to store your passport etc. I had a hummus dish in the bar with a glass of wine and that dish is one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever eaten. Stayed 2 nights in Antigua before heading to Lake Atitlan and will definitely come back and spend more time. "
