"Everything about the accommodation was excellent, especially the staff! Despite the communication struggles, they were very helpful and provided great service during my stay. The free shuttle service to the ski resort was also extremely useful as they would drive you to your desired resort and pick you up at your specified time. Without a car, there is limited access to any surrounding towns. There is a bus but it’s relatively infrequent. However, staying in is also great due to the 24 hour...

"nice hotel"

"Very friendly and accommodating staff. Lovely breakfast. Clean room. "

"The room smelled like it had been smoked in for 20years, the bathroom wasn't great and had some mold presence. The room felt really outdated in general compared to the hotel which looks great when you first come in ! Breakfast was good, and staff really nice. Great location next to the nightlife and the temple is within walking distance !"

"If your goal is to get as remote as possible, this is the place for you. It’s an adventure to get to, but when you get there, the remote location provides a tranquility that is second to none. Wonderful experience."

"Very nice hotel with a great location!"

"The Yunomori onsen ryokan was one of the best places I've ever stayed at. The Kaiseki breakfast and dinner was incredible and the staff were 10/10 amazing. We had an in-room onsen and it was perfect. The entire place was clean and incredibly cozy. I would absolutely recommend Yunomori to anybody! It's a short walk to Yuno Lake nearby and also some beautiful waterfalls. I highly recommend this place to stay in Nikko. It was a very special experience for us. "

"A delightful place to stay in beautiful Nikko! Rooms were spacious and clean, with amazing views of the lake. Amenities were very nice; the onsen was beautiful and the food was delicious! And the staff was very friendly and helpful. "

"Excellent service, excellent private onsen inside the room."

"Really nice spa and staff. "

"Spotless room, great staff!"

"We had nice stay, the onsen is amazing and the food definitely interesting! "

"A very nice onsen hotel. The room was spacious, the bath was nice. Ample parking. The location was great."

"We absolutely loved the private onsen in our room. Staff was very helpful in ordering a cab to the train station. I would skip the full board dinners in favor of supporting the local businesses!"
