We liked this property for its close proximity to train station and center of Oxford. It’s simple and minimalistic but good enough for a short stay. The staff is extremely cordial and helpful. Room is small and we had a slanting ceiling, being on the top floor, which you could bump head on if not careful.

Despite the construction/roadwork being done outside, the room was quiet at night. No air conditioning but the shades and fan made the room comfortable for sleeping. There is a lovely garden out back where we sat for breakfast. Less than 1 block from rail station and a very easy walk to downtown Oxford. We were able to leave luggage there much of our last day while we continued to explore the town. It was very handy to then walk to the train and head to the next destination

We were concerned when walking in as the building seems exceedingly old but the place was spotless! Narrow staircase for those who are mobility impaired, simple continental breakfast included.

Just a couple of minutes away from the train station and very close to the city centre. Very friendly staff who were more than helpful to give you suggestions for seeing things in Oxford outside the obvious ones. A bit old and basic but perfect for a couple of days in Oxford. Some noise outside as there's work at the road to the train station, but that's obviously not the hotel's fault.
