Lovely hotel near to Oxford centre

This was a very nice hotel. The rooms were a good size and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was very good. The centre of Oxford was only a very nice 15-20 minutes walk by the riverside.

Nice stay

Had to get 2 rooms, but only used one as traveled with family of 3 small kids. The rooms were on different floors and not connected, so did not have use for one of the rooms although we had to pay for it. Location was ok, not in the center but walkable. Might consider staying here again in the future, but with some reservations.

Good property. Most of the staff is very accommodating. There are no washers and dryers on the property and the dry cleaning service is very expensive. The gym is small but functional. There are no windows around the indoor pool so the smell of chlorine is intense. The waiters at dinner took a while to bring our food, so the food wasn’t very warm when we got it. Otherwise the food itself was delicious but kind of cold.

Perfect for a stay in Oxford

Very clean, calm and comfortable throughout the hotel. The rooms were very comfortable, spacious and a high decorative order. An excellent selection and good quality of food at breakfast. The waiting service was swift and discrete. Lots of parking and a 15 minute walk into the centre of Oxford.

Would’ve been nice at check to be to.d there are no planned fire alarms scheduled as alarm went off at 4am and when trying to phone reception to see if this meant vacating I discovered that they had all gone outside and then also as we went to move outside everyone re entered as false alarm not impressed either with just an apology letter shoved under the door.

Nice place to stay

Booked one hour before arrival. The staff was GREAT and gave excellent service. Service was above and beyound. Room was big and quiet. Breakfeast was ok but could have been a lot better. A little walk (10min?) to center so if I stay only for a day I would book somewhere closer.

The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful time there. We were happy with the size of the swimming pool,(changing room was very cold) location, beds. We would be happy to go back.

Lovely hotel, and as I asked for a quiet room, I was given a room in an adjacent cottage, which was perfectly quiet. This room was exceptional, but unfortunately did not have a fridge, which meant i was drinking room temperature water which I dislike. Waiting staff were friendly and helpful, especially Eldhose. He was exceptional. Reception staff were more officious than friendly. I’m disappointed to say that a few minor hitches with technology, did make me irritated. Ie, having to continually get my card pre authorised at reception to make charges to my room, a broken card reader kept declining my card, causing discomfort. Parking added twice to my checkout bill. While packing my car up, my room card locked me out as it did not appreciate I had a late checkout, which was just another small irritation in the rain and in a cottage away from reception. Calling days later after checkout to have a pre authorised £50 charge on my credit card removed.
