What a wonderful stay! The accommodation was absolutely excellent — just a short walk to town. The rooms were beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was beyond delicious — truly the perfect start to each day

Nice place, lovely owner operators.

Location was walkable to local attractions and restaurants. This is important because there is very little parking in the core area.

We were greeted by our host as soon as we arrived. Robin and her husband gave us a warm welcome and introduced us to our room that back to a enchanted forest. The deck was so welcoming to relax contemplate or just read a book. The room was rustic decor but yet very cozy. Every morning we were invited to the outdoor kitchen and enjoyed a warm breakfast prepare Robin and Jim (I hope I got your name right) and hot coffee! Thank you both for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful place to stay in tobermory

This place was amazing, Yvette is such a great host, she immediately made us feel at home! The room was very clean, beautifully decorated and with everything we needed. The breakfast was so yummy and the place overall super cute. Also, the location is great as you can walk to town in less than 10 mins.

We were here for a girls’ getaway and it was perfect. Yvette, our host, was very welcoming and the room was clean and comfortable. We loved the mermaid themed decor and the outdoor kitchen with self serve coffee and breakfast treats. A very convenient location to all restaurants and activities.

The host was very friendly and attentive. Property is a mere 700 metres from Bay St so it makes for a relaxing walk every day to shop and dine.

We loved our room! Immaculately clean, very spacious and really nicely decorated. Had great helpful touches including a night light in the bathroom (which we both really appreciated), games and puzzles and tourist information. Would definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay. The owners Jim and Robin were nice. The breakfast provided was good. We were not pleased that we couldn’t smoke outside our room as they have bears around at night. We had to go to the road area where our car was. They should perhaps put this on their listing of the property. Also it was over priced for what we got.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at the Mermaid Inn. Jim and Robin were exceptional hosts and provide some nice touches, such as, a bottle of wine, real wine glasses, snacks, great coffee and breakfast in the morning. We felt very comfortable. We enjoyed our own private patio, easy walking distance to shopping and dining. Will definitely stay there again.

Never saw a bear

We loved it! Stayed in the loft upstairs and it was lovely. Huge bed, great open space and the private deck overlooking the parks/woods was wonderful. Breakfast was able to be ‘to go’ so warmed breakfast sandwiches and burrito types. Perf loCation - easy and safe to walk on the road. I also used the provided bike and biked around a bit too. Two taco places across the street. Loved the views and both Robin and Jim were incredibly personable!

Lovely place to stay

Absolutely lovely Inn, right on highway 6. Walking distance to the marina and shops/restaurants in Tobermory, and within 15 minutes of Bruce National Park, The Grotto, and Halfway Log Dump. Lots of restaurant options across the street, as well as a grocery store. They have bikes you can take if you’d rather not walk to town. We would definitely stay again.

This was a wonderful inn. Bed was super comfortable. Booked the king bed room and it was a large room with a large bathroom. Property is surrounded by a nice pine and cedar forest. Short walk into town and the national park is very close by. Coffee was provided in the morning. Was an excellent stay and I will be back again!

We had a wonderful stay at Mermaid Inn. The owners are wonderful and very welcoming people. The room was cute and cozy and unique. We enjoyed having breakfast on the beautiful deck surrounded by nature and forest. Very peaceful place. It is 5 minute walk from the main strip and easily walkable. 2 night getaway

A two night getaway was a wonderful experience staying at Mermaid Inn. The Inn keeper Yvette is such a wonderful lady, best host, a local guide for places to visit and restaurants to eat. Made our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. The best part was the last night when she called the guest to sit and chat around the bonfire she arranged. I would certainly recommend and will stay there again if I ever visit Tobermory second Time.
