"Pleasant room with lovely view. Very well situated. Access to the funicular a real treat. Good range of food options and super breakfast. Staff all very friendly but poorly trained and managed. We were variously told that we could/could not have a kettle; could/could not use the new terrace area at all; could/could not have a drink there; could/could not have a meal there. Room service unreliable - we were missing towels, bathmat, toilet roll on different days. Muzak in the public areas was absolutely deafening."

The only downside if the awful experience you will get if you book through Expedia which doesn't seem to send you the confirmation details the day before which means you can't get into your room. If you arrive late then expect to spend time on the phone with the really helpful and polite support team at the hotel. Would certainly stay again, would certainly not book through Expedia again."
