「The staff is helpful and cheerful. When I get hurt during the New Year, no Tuk Tuk can be called. The boss of hostel drives me to the hospital and wait me for over half hour. The environment is clean and quiet. You can see the reality of monks just in front of the guesthouse, comparing with the "tourist" monks in French area. But the hotel is in the another side of the river. Bamboo bridge is built during the dry season but it charges 5000K for go-and-back per person. If you stay 4 days,...

「Das Guesthouse liegt mitten im UNESCO-Welterbe und ist denkmalgeschützt. Deshalb kann die Ausstattung nicht an moderne Zeiten angepasst werden. Die Treppe zu den Zimmern ist relativ steil. Den Gang der Mönche kann man vom Balkon aus beobachten, ohne die Einheimischen zu stören. Die Dame an der Rezeption sprach leider sehr wenig Englisch. Deshalb war die Kommunikation per Übersetzungsprogrammen recht umständlich.」

「Oui is a charming and very helpful hostess. Nice quiet location by the river. Would not hesitate to stay again.」

「This is an older, unkempt property. The room numbers were written on yellow Post-It Notes above each door. I was in two different rooms due to a mix-up. Neither one had soap. The woman running the place asked me how much I'd paid for my room when I came out for breakfast on my first morning, even though it had come with my room. It took nearly ten minutes to explain to her that breakfast was included regardless of how much I'd paid. 」

「It’s alright for a guesthouse. The rooms are decently clean, and the staff are friendly. A simple breakfast is provided, which is a nice touch. The only issue I had was a rooster that lives on the property and started crowing nonstop under my window from 5:30 AM, making it hard to go back to sleep. I mentioned it to the staff and was given another room on the opposite side of the building, which was much quieter.」
