Location is good. I have to change room because the neighbor room guest smoke and there is a locked door to let smoke come to my room. When I checked in, they said I was assigned to another Ottawa university residence, but I showed my expedia booking receipt and insisted to stay with my booked address. Finally they solved this check in problem. Staff are friendly and helpful. They don't clean room every day. So overall it is ok to stay for its location.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone considering a stay. Our room was sparsely decorated and outdated, with very limited storage space. The biggest issue was the broken AC during an extremely hot week in Ottawa. Despite contacting the front desk multiple times, it took a day and a half for a technician to fix it. Once running, the AC made such a loud clanking noise that we had to turn it off, making the room unbearably warm — contrary to the check-in instructions warning of cold temperatures. Throughout our stay, we also heard random, loud noises in the building at all hours, which was unsettling and made us feel unsafe. The toilet barely flushed and had little water in the bowl, making us uncomfortable using it. The bed was uncomfortable with only one pillow per person, and our keycard suddenly stopped working on the second day — though it was quickly replaced. Overall, the experience fell far below expectations and was not worth the cost.

First, things first, you have to understand, you get what you paid for. It's a downtown property for a bargain price. Deals don't get much better than this for convenience and price. With that in mind, it's not that bad for the price, considering it's located right in downtown Ottawa with lots of interesting places and endless choice of restaurants in walking distance. There's a parking lot beside the hotel entrance, but it's pay parking. As for the suite itself, it's old and there's wear on many things, though still usable. Never had deal breaking issues, just minor inconveniences. For minimal packers, they provide some tissues, towels, soap, bodywash, shampoo, and conditioner. Bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste. Highly recommend packing slippers instead. Complimentary breakfast was alright too. It's no continental breakfast. There's your usual breakfast pastries, cereal, coffee, fruits, yogurt, juice, and there's practically no limit. I made like 3 trips from the buffet to my room with as much as I can carry and the staff didn't mind. Oops! I accidentally wrote an essay again. Anyways, if you have any issues like your flight or drive arriving past midnight, just call them and let them know, they let me in at like 4am.

N'attendez-vous pas à une chambre de luxe. Le lit est petit et léger. Il n'y a pas deux chambres pareilles. Mais c'était propre et les étudiants à l'accueil étaient très serviables et gentils. Il y avait un frigot et une micro-ondes. La chambre a rejoint mes attentes minimalistes.

Good value, centralized location with all sites and amenities within walking distance. Great eating choices at the Byward Market. Staff was very nice and helpful, special shoutout to Jenna for her great help in resolving my parking issue. Continental breakfast was very satisfying. Comfortable bed but air conditioning was a bit loud, but still okay. Overall, great location, friendly staff, clean facility at good prices and walking distance to Museums, restaurants, shopping and the beautiful Parliament Buildings! (a few homeless people, but God bless them .....🙏 )
