"This was an amazing find! The room was spacious with a separate dressing area and huge bathroom and spotlessly clean. The staff of this family-run hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. The fix-priced menu for dinner was excellent and inexpensive and breakfast was brilliant with scrambled eggs made to order and a wide selection of savoury and sweet items. Great value for money and definitely to be recommended. "

"Great bathroom, very clean room. Could use some painting and maintenance on the walls of the room. Amazing breakfast. The only downside to me was the lack of customer service. Not allowing to check in 90 minutes earlier when there were plenty of rooms available and not being receptive to customers that pay your bills and put food on your table to me is not a good way to do business. But as a hotel definitely a great place to stay."

Terra Hotel Tirano

10/10 Excellent

"This is a modern boutique hotel about two three blocks from the train station. There is a secure gate that requires a code once you check in. The same code is used for the front door as well as your room. We made a mistake of telling the hotel we would be arriving in the early afternoon and then showed up at noon. Because this is a very small hotel (12 rooms, I believe) the front desk is not always staffed - but someone is there. We were caught in the rain trying to get through the gate. Just something to consider. Our room was stylish, fairly large, and quiet despite being on the main drag in Tirano. What really impressed us were the towels. Wow! These towels were so big and fluffy! For such a reasonably-priced hotel you are getting some very nice towels. Breakfast is included and was quite good. Italian hotels tend to make a big effort for breakfast. This hotel wasn't quite up there with some of the hotels in bigger Italian cities, but then those hotels are typically much more expensive. Another plus: the hotel is associated with a restaurant next door. They give you a discount card good for 10% off dinner. Do not pass up this offer. The restaurant is excellent."
