A nice hotel including spacious room, great location, good pricing and absolutely the best included breakfast spread of any hotel we have stayed at in 50 years! But oh the downside! The west facing room was unbearably hot. No A/C. For 2 nights in a row, the room only got down to 26 degrees overnight. We hardly slept. Made worse by the loud rumbling trams coming right under our open window every 2 mins until 1.30am!! Bathroom on the small side as well. It was not a sensible choice for mid summer!

We loved Thon Hotel Europa! And we would have given it 5 stars - the hotel location, room, etc were great. The free breakfast was delightful as was most of the staff. But not Anwar, or as we refer to him forever more, as the “food police.” On our way out of breakfast I took two slices of already buttered bread that I could not finish, in a napkin, for later. We were walking out of the dining room when Anwar stopped me, not even asking what was in the napkin, and proceeded to tell me that I cannot take food out. It must all be eaten in the dining room. I asked him why and he said that “it costs the hotel money” as he forced me to leave the bread on the counter and would not let us pass until I did. He was always milling about the exit and we finally understood why. We stayed for 4 nights, 2 of which were spent traveling to the fjords, not partaking in Anwar’s “costly" breakfast but did not ask for or receive refunds for the breakfast that we did not eat or the room that we did not stay in - even though that costed us, the customers, money. The lovely front desk agent, Belinda, tried to reason with him on my behalf but he refused to budge. Belinda indicated that upper management would get back to me but they never did. Nor did they respond to any messages after the fact. This is not about the bread, but rather the petty, classless, behavior of one employee that this hotel hired and the failure of anyone at Thon Hotels to apologize for this incomprehensible behavior.

Bon hôtel dans l'ensemble. Ça devient l'habitude dans les hôtels mais pas fan des armoires ouvertes (sans montants). Bon petit-déjeuner axé sur le salé (70-80%). Distributeur d'eau à disposition àl'entrée. Chambre relativement calme (si ce n’est le bruit ponctuel du mini-frigo et quelques travaux à l'arrière de l'hôtel). Un bon rapport-qualité-prix pour le prix payé

Zentrale Lage in Oslo, freundliches Personal, leckeres Frühstück und gute Sauberkeit. Bei der Bekannten Mitternachtssonne in Norwegen sollte man noch bessere Rollos oder Vorhänge anbringen, dann wäre es perfekt.
