This was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had, especially disappointing coming from a Marriott-branded property. Our first room had a lizard crawling inside, which was horrifying. After switching rooms, we found that the Wi-Fi didn’t work at all. Staff repeatedly said a technician was fixing it, but we noticed other nearby rooms had strong signals. We weren’t moved again until two days before checkout, and only into a lower-tier room. The front desk staff were friendly but unable to resolve anything. We were told the new room would be ready by noon, but by 3 PM it still wasn’t. Meanwhile, housekeeping staff were chatting casually in the hallway instead of working. When I tried to use the elevator, they toyed with me, telling me to get in, then out, then back in again, even though there was space and they knew the direction. It felt like I was interrupting their social time. The room was filthy with bed bugs and other insects. The soundproofing was awful, and I was kept awake each night by loud banging and stomping noises. We also accidentally left several packs of cigarettes in our room. Only three were returned, and the rest were clearly taken by housekeeping. When we asked about compensation, the staff avoided the topic and never offered a solution. This stay was a complete disaster, with poor cleanliness, unprofessional staff, and no accountability. I will never stay here again and do not recommend it to anyone.
