Lovely building, excellent location
I try to put my reviews in the context of how other hotels are in Sweden and in general hotels here are OK rather than great. I don't think outside the main 2 cities they really know what premium, or luxury, means, so I don't level this review at this hotel necessarily, but we paid for Premium Rooms and they didn't had a fridge, a wardrobe, a bath (ok not vital) or anything that might set them apart as "premium". The furniture was old and well used, the place to hang clothes was just a metal rail, the "desk" was worn and had a tatty chair behind it. Nowhere else would this be classed as "Premium" but as I say I don't want to bash this hotel in particular because we have stayed in 17 hotels in Sweden and to be honest we really haven't seen anything that could be described as "luxury" or "premium". Maybe the Swedes just don't pay for quality (SAAB, IKEA, These hotels.........? Maybe Swedish people just like "OK" and "just about good enough")........OK Koenigsegg is a bit different :-)
Overall, a perfectly nice enough hotel in a great location. The staff were great by the way.
