Nice hotel, especially the sauna and the lounge. A couple of issues: 1. We weren't able to check in until 16:50. Almost two hours past the official check in. Annoying when you have been travelling and want to get ready for dinner. 2. The housekeeping didn't come until 16:00, just as we were returning from sightseeing. So we had to decline, which meant we ran out of toilet paper the day after and wet towels. Not a huge issue but annoying. 3. Shower head doesn't stay in place when showering so you need to hold it.

4 stars for an otherwise 5 star property. Rooms are clean, great location - right next to the river and main walking path and main attractions. Enjoyed stay. All good. Staff goofed up at checkin and wrote wrong room number on the key and I ended up waking up the guests who were in other room!. May be a genuine mistake and doesn't happen often. Second issue is that they insisted on informing the desk in person for clean up everyday even though I told them clean everyday. We missed to inform one day and the room wasn't cleaned. There is no need for this unnecessary hoop imo.

Book this hotel if you don't want comfort. Book this hotel if you enjoy overpaying. Book this hotel if having your expectations met sounds overrated. We arrived after a full day of travel, hoping for a cool, clean room to recover in. Instead, no air conditioning — just a fan, which management offered as the "solution." Whether the AC is broken or simply not provided isn't clear, but either way, in the middle of summer, that's a problem they didn't seem in a rush to fix. The room itself had a tired, worn look — not dirty exactly, but not what we'd call clean either. A little elbow grease and some basic upkeep would go a long way here. For the price we paid, we expected a lot more. If you're looking for comfort, cleanliness, or value, keep looking.
