Tropical magic.

A very wooded, island feel with the charm on an old world tropical villa. Perfect accomidations and a very helpfil staff. Lots of wildlife to view, and very comfortable.

The facilities are lacking in the kitchen, microwave needs updating and to work properly, the oven needs sorting too, Also breakfast bowls needed.cupboard needs fixing. Blinds need fixing in the bedroom. Showerfloor is old and tired . Roof terrace definitely needs replacing. Chez Mango has its good points and it was very clean, pool was lovely as well. The lady Auroa who picked us up to go to the property was amazing, out of this world helpful. Anything I asked for she got it above and beyond. Its a good location, and brilliant view from the penthouse roof terrace.. It just needs a few things revamped and a little tlc. Blinds equipment in the kitchen curtains in the bedroom shower floor comfy chair's, the gardens surrounding need trimming and taming as well. The surroundings could be excellent. TLC.

I like the bathroom spacious a mirror over the sink would’ve completed. We were there for a wedding so a workable iron would be nice there was an iron there but with English voltage and would need a transformer. I also wished there was a kettle as I need a cuppa to start my day otherwise it was delightful.

Great short stay in Montserrat

Villas were really good, enjoyed my stay. Location was good for me, 2 good places to eat within easy walking distance one on a nice beach. Airport transfers reasonable price. If you want to get further afield then need to book a trip or hire a car.

Beautiful villa with beautiful and well equipped large rooms. Very clean. Feels like being in the middle of the jungle. Good location for exploring the island. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excursions, rental car, island information, nice pool etc. Recommended place to stay when visiting the island. Thank you.

There were bugs on the pillows, cockroaches in the bathroom, & stained dirty towels. The fan was broke & AC didn't have enough power to get the room cool enough. We had to leave cause it caused asthma for my wife. The property wasn't maintained so the pics on line was falsh. Thank u for calling taxi to get us to a different hotel.

Purposely overbooked property

A Chez Mango driver picked us up at the Montserrat airport and took us to a remote house with no pool, spa, kitchen or hot water. The resident owner of the house placed us in a downstairs bedroom. It was about a 15 minute taxi ride from the house to Old Towne. We were advised by the Chez Mango proprietor that his Villa was full and this was our only option. Very disappointing.

We stayed here for 10 terrible days we never received the accommodation we booked and wasn’t informed prior to arrival. We had live cockroaches which we caught and gave to the owner. We left money in the room which was acknowledged and was never returned to us. Expedia was useless in negotiations regarding us receiving a full refund. I would not recommend this place to stay. Not suitable for wheel chair users or anyone with walking difficulties. This accommodation is quite remote no eating establishments in walking distance definitely need to be driving especially if you don’t have access to cooking facilities.

Chez Mango is a curious place — part hotel, part ongoing experiment. It’s made up of small cottages and a larger building, the Royal Villa, which sits nearby but not quite on the same property. Think of it less as a resort and more as a collection of spaces still finding their rhythm. Let’s start with the good. I stayed in the Royal Villa, in a very large suite with four bedrooms. It was spotless, the air conditioning was flawless, and the surrounding setting is genuinely lovely. Gary, the host, was exceptionally responsive and arranged airport transfers that were perfectly on time. For my purposes — a clean, comfortable place to sleep — Chez Mango delivered, and at a very reasonable price. I would happily stay again under similar circumstances. That said, travelers should know what to expect. As of November 2025, the villa remains very much a construction site. Building materials are scattered across the property — in the tennis court, around the pool, even along the paths. Work noise continues through the day, and the pool area, while attractive, has unfinished railings and an empty bar space that’s best avoided. The steep driveway and cluttered staircases make access challenging; this is not a suitable choice for guests with mobility issues or for children. The suite itself also has quirks. Though it sleeps seven, there’s only one bathroom. The shower window lacks any covering and faces a public area, and while there’s an iron, there’s no hairdryer.
