「Het was een bijzondere ervaring om bij Maurice te verblijven, een op en top gastheer die zelf onze tassen naar boven droeg. De ruime kamer had een comfortabel hoog en breed bed, ruime badkamer van alle gemakken voorzien. Het ontbijt was een bijzondere ervaring, alle gasten eten aan een lange tafel die tot in de puntjes is verzorgd en mooi aangekleed. Zeer ruime keuze en alles huisgemaakt, wij hebben ervan genoten. De ligging is zeer centraal en het is fijn dat de fietsen in de afgesloten garage...

「The hotel and grounds are wonderful, particularly in high summer when the gardens and floral scents from the herbs are wonderful. The location is peaceful and calming and the old Abbey grounds give an aura of protection given a high boundary stone wall surrounding the site. The architecture both old and new fit well together and the quality of finish is very high. 「Many things were not acceptable in regards to our room. The windows did not open fully due to the curtains blocking them and it was stifling hot. and when we tried to manipulate them, we were afraid they would break. The daily housekeeping was unacceptable - coffee cups were left dirty in the room, the bathroom didn't appear to have been cleaned at all, and in the bathroom the windows did not shut properly. 「We had a wonderful week. Maria and her husband are fantastic hosts. Throughout the week they checked everything was alright and asked if we needed anything. The breakfasts that Maria delivered every day were fabulous, plentiful and freshly prepared. We had freshly prepared tarts, fruit, homemade jams etc. The house is perfect for two, set in beautiful gardens, with the use of a small swimming pool.We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if we visited the same area in the future. 」
