The Captain Stannard was a wonderful place to stay. Very quiet and peaceful. The rooms were nicely decorated with wonderful sheets (the same sheets we use at our home).

Lovely Overnight

We had a beautiful, clean room with a very comfortable bed. The grounds were beautiful and the hosts had a lot of little extras to make your stay even more special. Such as a frozen lemonade stand on the porch. We were very happy with our stay.

Clean, classic, charming seaside New England inn. Unique in that it isn’t really staffed in the traditional sense but provided much more than we expected - 24 hour guest pantry, beautiful common spaces to relax, fresh cookies upon arrival, and basic breakfast.
