"Easy in and out. Restaurants/ bar in hotel. Coffee maker in room or go downstairs. Elevator quick. Reasonably price hotel and restaurant. 10 minutes from Cambridge."

"Only body towels in bathroom. No hand towels. Tub was very slippery with nothing available to avoid slipping and falling. Television didn’t work."

"We had stayed at this facility before so know it’s an “economy” hotel, but this was ridiculous. • Staff never told us at check-in that tidying, cleaning , and new towels and sheets were provided only every other day. • NO HOT WATER ALL DAY on Sat., Apr. 25, 2026. We had to ask at 7pm that night. It finally was available by 7:30pm. NO APOLOGIES by staff. • We were awakened on Sunday morning at 6pm by a fire drill and several fire engines and emergency vehicles. Apparently a toaster burned a bagel, causing smoke. NO APOLOGIES by staff. • Hanging closet space was only 9-inches wide. • There were no hooks for hanging jackets or other clothes in the bedroom or bathroom to supplement tiny hanging closet. • The only mirror in the room was in the bathroom. • Bathroom accessories other than in the shower, only included ½ bar of soap, small tube of lotion, and no shower caps or anything else. • On Sunday, we requested to the front desk that our room be made up by 1pm. They never told housekeeping who left for the day before 5pm. SOLUTION: WE REQUEST ONE NIGHT’S CREDIT ON OUR CREDIT CARD USED!!!"

"Garbage truck was very loud, way too early in the morning. Very uncivilized to be making so much noise before 7 outside hotel rooms. Does Somerville not have sound restrictions? "

"Housekeeping did a terrible job of cleaning our room. Left an inch of dust. Didn’t wipe down the countertop in the kitchen. Didn’t leave clean towels or replenish coffee and tea. Seems minor - however when you have allergies it is a problem."

"This is the second time we have stayed at this particular Hyatt Place. I requested a king size bed for 2 nights and ended up with 2 doubles. When I went to speak with the front desk, there was a long line. I waited for a bit, but she seemed to be the only person. Anyway, we decided to stay in the room. We were on the third floor and the ice machine would not stop beeping. I went to the front desk, still only 1 person and a line. I told them and they said they would take care of it and they did. I could speak with them in the morning. The next morning, the person who helped with the breakfast was wonderful, friendly, kept everyone smiling. I saw that your company could make specialty coffees and went to get one and speak about the room. Again, there was only 1 person and so many people in line. I didn't wait for the room or coffee. The ice machine was beeping again the next night. I called the front desk and someone came up to fix it. The last morning, I was able to speak with the young lady I told her what happened and she didn't say a word except if I wanted my receipt. We left Sunday May 10th. Whomever was working around 11am needs some help. More training, something. Go ahead and secret shop her. She is not good for the Hyatt name."

"Meh. This property needs some love. Worn carpets, front door on the fritz, leaky ceiling in the breakfast area, broken Nespresso machine, ice maker not working. The buffet was pretty sad - lukewarm coffee, waffles that were barely edible, and just generally not worth the price. I’ve stayed at the other AC Mariott in Somerville and it was MUCH better. Likely won’t book again. On the upside, it’s located next to a lovely walking path. "
