"I was totally surprised at the quality of this hotel. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. There was an inside pool and hot tub that were clean and working. The workout room was amazing and there was a pool table to play pool for free. The rooms were clean and all in working order. The bed was comfortable. Water pressure was good. I was impressed and if I ever stay in Trinidad I will stay there. And Walmart was like a block away. The room had a small refrigerator and microwave."

"We had a wonderful stay! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms were well kept, the beds were comfortable, and everything felt very welcoming from check-in to check-out. Great location and overall a great experience. We would definitely stay here again!"

"The room is what I expected for the price that I paid. I had a major issue with getting into my room. When I was about two hours away I called to ask about their after hours check in. They said they didn't have after hours check in. The office would close at 10pm. After pleading with them, they said they'd leave the door unlocked and gave me a room number. THEY DID NOT LEAVE THE DOOR UNLOCKED FOR US. Lucky for me they use crappy doorknobs and I easily picked the lock so that I could stay in the room that I had paid for."

"On May 12 2026 my daughter and I were on a road trip. We ended up booking a room at the Microtel in Raton NM. Unknowingly the security latch was broken on the room we stayed in. At 930 am housekeeping barged in unannounced and I had to tell them to leave. This is an extreme security risk, especially for two women staying alone. When you're paying for Wyndham quality and get below Motel 8 you expect more than an I'm sorry. I have called Orbitz for two weeks trying to get this resolved, but they apparently can't get a hold of the hotel. I am asking for a refund due to the security risk we were put in."
