The property was lovely. They did have a beautiful pool, but we're experiencing some algae growth, so our swim was not as appealing as we had hoped. Julia, our host was amazing, kind, sweet and was a very hard worker.

Lovely rural property with a five minute drive to the nearest beach. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant has a fairly basic menu but everything I ordered was tasty and great value. Highly recommended for a calm and quiet stay.

Very pleasant hotel in relaxing surroundings

We stayed 3 days at the Hotel Rural Moita Mar and were very happy with the experience and service received. The hotel is a set of outbuildings converted nicely into guest accommodation. As we arrived the receptionist showed us around the site which included a small pond with rowing boats, breakfast/dinning room, common TV room, swimming pool area with deck chairs, grass area with pine trees with hanging hammocks, from were we looked at the stars at night, I believe we saw a very BIG bright Venus and a tiny Jupiter, but I digress. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with double bed and baby cot as requested, mini bar, tea making facilities, as well as a complimentary bottle of water on arrival. The room lacked a landline which is a downside for me but probably not an issue for most. The continental breakfast had a good selection of food, which included a freshly baked cake every morning. Dinner was available (on request) most nights, expect on Wednesdays were they offered a light meal option. The meals were tasty and LARGE (one portion is definitely enough for 2 people). This service was invaluable as we had a baby with us and going out for meals at night would have been inconvenient. Being so close to the coast there was always a pleasant breeze from the sea that provided cooling from the sweltering temperatures of Alentejo. In summary we were very happy and will be booking again.

Very pleasant experience with nice little details!

We were surprised to find out how good the service was and how they made sure that customers enjoy. Stuff and breakfast were really good and you get bicycles, rowing boat (for little pond), outdoor games, candles in the room, very nice common area with "honesty bar", etc... So lot of nice little details.

Better than my expectations

The pictures we've seen about this place can't really tell all you can do in this place. It has a lovely lake with ducks, birds, a pool table, and a tennis court you can use free of charge. The bed was quite good, having four huge comfy pillows.
