"Great stay wish the outside part was open"

"The staff was very friendly and attentive. The first room we were given the door lock was broken and the room could not be accessed. They switched our room and we were able to get in with no problem. However, the humidity in the room was terrible which made the floors somewhat sticky which is not the fault of the staff. The hotel is older so they try to maintain it to the best of their ability."

"Upon first entering, the room had trash on the floor. The lack of an actual bath "room" was odd. But worst of all was the barking and crying dog in the next room. It began in the afternoon when we checked in. I went to the front desk and was told that the owner would be contacted. Upon returning that night, the dog continued to bark and cry. Despite two more trips to the front desk, nothing was done. We were kept awake until after two AM. The next morning, the manage said she would contact the owner, but did nothing. Upon further discussion, the manage said that a pet deposit had been paid, implying that nothing could be done. Finally, I was told that we could move to another room. I asked why wouldn't the person causing the problem be moved. Again the reply was that the pet deposit had been paid. I said that if I would have to pack up to move to another room, I would move to another hotel. The response was a shoulder shrug. So, we checked out and went next door to Beau Rivage, which was a wonderful experience."

"1. Entrance hard to find, hidden on an alley off a back pkg lot. First omen. 2. $50 for early check in. 3. Phone outlet did not charge overnight. 4. Battery to tv remote dead. 5. Cheapest toilet paper ever 6. No room service. 7. Minibar not stocked, empty. 8. No continental breakfast. 9. No restaurant in hotel. 10. Nearest food in a separate building across parking lot (food court) or an attached higher end steak house. 11. Relies on external restaurants that also do not deliver; they only accept cards @ 3.5% surcharge for eat-in or takeout; choices limited 12. I had to walk 20 minutes to find easy-to-eat food for evening meal, and it was not hot by the time I got back to room. 13. Locals at Lady May restaurant warned of “a lot of break-ins” at the hotel’s parking structure. 14. A $40 charge for taking a run-of-the mill OS coffee cup home 15. Misleading description: “A small, 32-room boutique hotel.” It is a one-year-old square, 3-story brick biking with no personality or amenities. 16. Not centrally located in the artsy and boutique section of touristy OS. 17. Expensive. Good points: 1. All staff friendly, courteous, likable, professional. 2. Bed/pillows wonderful. 3. Rain shower. I do not recommend OS Hotel. Check around."

"The room was disgusting. The room smelled like mold. The floor turned our feet black. The sink had black hairs everywhere. The dresser smelt like dead animals when we opened the drawers. We will sleep in our car before we even entertain the idea of staying here again."

"First our room had a very strong sent of bleach after the second day the smell was gone. In certain areas of the hotel towards the far ends of the hallway, you can smell the musty mildew. They use diffusers with a great sent I can only imagine to cover the musty mildew smell. The staff is awesome; the amenities are great. I will have to look into other hotels in the same area to see if they are compatible to this hotel for our next visit."
