We could definitely see the beach from our balcony.the maid service was excellent!!! The front desk staff was extremely nice and very informative, from where to grocery shop to good location for particular food.

Great for the $!

Great beach front boardwalk location. Older hotel at half the price of the shiny new ones. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean enough, plenty of towels, good off street parking & no complaints from us. We had a very nice week stay. I hear that Marriott is buying this OC landmark Flagship Hotel & plan to rebuild at the end of summer 2026.

The imperfect, perfect family stay

Fantastic employees!! Wonderful experience customer service wise. We came for my kids first beach trip. She LOVED it! From the questionable elevator, to the adorable play pirate ship, to the questionable indoor pool and hot tub! Definitely not new nor renovated, but overall a great experience!! Would book again.

The courtyard looks nothing like in the picture. The room was nice and clean. Staff was friendly. We were on the 1st floor so the room above us could be heard when people were walking around which was pretty late at night, other than that everything else was great. I enjoyed the fact that it was steps away from the ocean and we even enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub.

It was pretty expensive due to the event that was going on, but it looked like the hotel hadn't been updated in a while. The tvs were tiny, the elevator was shaky, paint was chipped, and everything kind of just looked dingy. All of the people that worked there were really nice, though.

The Flagship has been our go to since we have been going to there. We love the pool and the area of the boardwalk. My only complaint was handicap parking. Not much is available and parking was hard at times. But everything worked out. I wish the tram was up and running again, also more handicap beach access to get a person down to the ocean.
