「The most uncomfortable accommodations but inexpensive Appenzell you can’t be picky if you’re on a budget. The room, including the en suite bathroom is no bigger than a standard American bathroom, airless, windowless, and claustrophobic. We did not sleep, no air quality controls. However, the establishment is charming, the breakfast was ample and the staff is ultra kind and the hotel\restaurant is a five minute walk from the train station and superbly located- loved Appenzell and the surrounding...

「Our stay at the monastery was incredibly pleasant! The self check in was easy, the grounds are exquisite, and the rooms were lovely and comfortable. We greatly appreciate the Christian artwork! The forest in the surroundings are unmistakably gorgeous. The staff were wonderful, and the breakfast was delicious! We will definitely come back! 」

「It is in an old building, very up-to-date and well-cared for. It's kind of a "hands off" check in process. When you arrive, you punch in a code to retrieve your key. Breakfast is good, but it would be nice to have one or two hot dishes available (scrambled eggs, potatoes, etc.) Peter」

「Das Zimmer war sehr schön, modern und funktional gestaltet, bequemes Bett. Leider keinen Sessel oder Couch zum abssitzen (nur einen Schreibtischstuhl), es gibt nur ein paar Bügel und eine Stange und keinen richtigen Schrank oder Ablage für die Kleidung. Funktionale Heizung/Kühlung via Klimagerät, leider nachts etwas laut durch die Lüftung, Das Bad war nach einer kalten Nacht etwas kühl. Das sanierte Haus ist etwas hellhörig, man hörrt die Haustüre "zuknallen" und auch die Bewohner im Zimmer...

「Staff quickly solved the problem with the soap dispenser. No matter how hard we pressed no soap came out. This was because a hidden lid had not been taken off. Another small matter was that the coffee capsule didn't fit the coffee machine. Also addressed by the staff although we had be without our first coffee after waking up.」

「Would love to try the main building as Hotel Weissbad next time. This time we stay with Weissbad Lodge in an attic room. The lobby is new and self served. The interior of the attic room though spacious however looks old and dirty with the choice of the floor wood and the lighting. Won’t choose the Lodge next time. But the receptionist in Hotel Wiessbad ( check in here though I stay at the lodge) was very helpful and friendly. Clear instructions and good advice on the tourist spots. 」
