We asked for a mosquito diffuser and the receptionist told us they would send one which was in vain as nobody came along. The bedsheet was torn very old and most of all we all didn’t sleep as the bed was not comfortable one could feel the wire spring on our back. "Loved my stay here! We were in Mauritius for a week and stayed at 3 different hotels on the East, west, and southern coasts. Grand Baie Veranda was my favorite. The hotel is simply so beautiful from the moment you get into the parking lot. Very clean and the staff are amazing. I will never forget one of the staff members taking the time to clean my wound when I stubbed my big toe walking to dinner. That was so nice. The food is also great and I loved the gift shop. Found reasonably-priced souvenirs to take home with me. The room was great, my only qualm with it is that there are too many light switches. Otherwise, very spacious and well-decorated. Loved waking up to the sound of birds serenading us on the balcony each morning. The hotel and the surrounding area are also pretty lively. Many dining options within walking distance."
