"I would rate this hotel and its staff ten out of five if there is such a rating! My husband and I stayed three nights and we had a most memorable experience! The grounds of the hotel is beautifully maintained, it is located on a hill overlooking the breath-taking Val d’Orcia. There is a beautiful infinity pool and many garden furniture for guests to sit and enjoy the million dollar view. Every staff member is a professional, even an artist, who excels in their work. The gardener works literally from sun rise to sun down to maintain an impeccable garden. We want to express our most sincere thanks to hotel manager Roberta who personally helped us with a difficult situation. My husband had lost an important travel document so we had to submit a new application. Roberta helped us look for and then print out all necessary PO paperwork in the most organized way. She also directed us to the best photo studio so my husband could get his ID photo taken. When time came for us to check out , we really didn’t want to leave. We will always this beautiful place and the beautiful people who work here to make Villa Ciconela a perfect little corner of heaven. "

"The room was full of ants and other small insects. I was staying in the middle of Tuscany wine country, I would expect my room to have a corkscrew and at least glass glasses. The room only had flimsy plastic cups. "
