A terrific property set in a quiet location close to Nottingham Road amenities. A perfect place to base to explore the Midlands. Staff were excellent - we were the only two guests staying at the time and were extremely well looked after.

Great stay - very central in Notties area - a few quaint little eateries nearby country vibe. Loxley - was an awesome establishment with really friendly staff who really tried to help.The shower in the room is a little old school - but not a problem at all for a short stay.

Base for a local event

The accommodation was perfect for us as we where in the area for a cycle race. The place was very accommodating by having a very early breakfast and supplied a place we could park our bikes indoors (there where other cyclists also staying there as well). Staff are friendly and everything went to plan.

good property for a low-key escape. wi-fi is not strong. the bedsheets were soft and the water pressure was good. the water stopped heating so they made alternative arrangements.

Loxley house home away from home

We traveled as a family and my only mistake was to book one room, we should have requested two. The WiFi is not great, so make sure you have data. The staff went above and beyond and even prepared a special dinner for my boys which was amazing. We enjoyed our stay.

Home from home

We were welcomed like royalty not only by the friendly staff but also by the dogs. The gardens are so beautifully manicured and the azaleas amazing. Loved the quirkey "golden swan" on the pool. Just a pity we could only stay one night. Would love to have stayed longer. Rooms beautiful and clean with lovely view over the garden.

Booket like før ankomst da vi trengte et overnattingssted på veien fra Johannesburg til Sani Pass. Meget bra service og de fikset kveldsmat til oss selv om vi kom sent og ikke var meldt inn til middag. Vi var veldig fornøyd med standard og service som var veldig bra etter sørafrikanske mål. (dersom du forventer en standard som tilsvarer luksushotell i en vesteuropeisk hovedstad blir du nok skuffet generelt i Sør Afrika).

Alt, sanitär am Ende, überteuert.

Ein leider völlig überteuertes B&B in abgelegener Lage für Touristen, die auf dem Weg zu Giants Castle sind. Neben der Ruhe ist die Küche und der Speiseraum als exzellent zu bewerten. Die Zimmer haben sicher noch Beatles-Musik gehört, der Fernseher ist ein kleiner Computer-Monitor. Die Badeinrichtung stammt aus dem Ende der 50er Jahre. Es ist kalt (1.700 m), die Heizung geht nicht, die elektrischen Matratzenauflagen sind ebenfalls defekt. Vorsicht: wer waschen will, nichts trocknet.

Comfortable Stay

Stayed 1 night before Midmar Mile. The host and staff opened up kitchen early to feed us before we swam. Rooms are clean and tidy. Nice guest house home made amenities
