I wanted to like this for all the positives, however all the negatives made up for a incredibly disappointing experience. It starts with weird stuff like requiring a extra deposit completely separate from the pre-paid expedia cost. Then they send you the rules of staying here & require you to send a scan of your driver's license or passport. Only after, they will send "a link" to the codes costing even more time & roaming data usage. No other hotel does this! At "check-out" email telling you to cleanup before go as per "the rules" & after reviewing "the rules" I found no such rule. Later they returned my deposit, but it was only 97%. Considering all else, that about figures! Stayed in room #7. 4 nights in mid-September 2025. Negatives: Substantial amount of black Mold in the bathroom (see photos). Carpet looked like it not vacuumed, Mug & microwave sort of clean. So, basically moldy & dirty. I felt better after I washed all of the touch points in the room. Vent in bathroom not working. Over sized beach towel was bigger than the bathroom & needlessly so (hand towel & foot towel were normal size) I wanted to warm the room to 20c but of course that was not working. I called about it and they did send a tech the next day, unable to fix. Positives: Location, Onsite parking, skylight, Refrigerator & Microwave, Wi-Fi, instant hot water at both the sink & shower, Sheets & towels were clean, TV worked well, & actually had a USB port.

The exterior area was not very clean beer cans in bush at front and the cigarette ashtray was not emptied from the time I arrived to when I left. The carpark was covered in rubbish and the bins were not emptied. Carpet in corridor needs deep cleaning and I could not get th heating working. The location was great for me with supermarket close, takeaway and pubs were close.

Sad for it’s final week before closure

No pillowcases, mattress protector. Bin not emptied from previous occupant. I doubt it will have any improvement as it closes down this week for at least 3 month. From the other week it looks like a family of imagrants have moved it.

Good hotel on a budget

The stay was good i liked the room and enjoyed my stay but just remember its a budget hotel so dont expect wounders you get what you pay for you do need to pay damages deposit + admin fee but i did get the deposit back quite quickly got nothing bad to say for the price i paid for 2 adults for 2 nights

Key code did not arrive on the app until nearly half an hour after I arrived, had to call the number on the front door to get this resolved, also the website states there is a complementary breakfast which is not true and according to another guest this has not been true for some time.

It was clean and comfortable. The shower wasn't very powerful but the bathroom was quite spacious. Its near a busy road so the traffic was a bit noisy, it was handy for walking into town though.

Hidden Charge

I was made to pay a deposit before being able to check in, and they kept £3 as an admin fee for this privilege. I think this is very poor of the property and hotels.com as this was not mentioned when booking. Just a hidden charge.

Needs some work. Bed could be bigger and also headboard needs fixing. Room could be a lot cleaner, marks/damp in walls and cobwebs. Shelving pretty awful and needs cleaning/maintenance. Bathroom needs cleaning, toilet needs a clean and blinds filthy. Windows filthy inside and out. Door gets stuck and door handle is wobbly. However for the amenities and location I can't complain.

Ok but.

Cheap and cheerful. Good value for money but bathroom equipment needs maintenance. Missing plug in sink, uncontrollable shower, no chain on bath plug so really hard to drain bath. Toilet roll holder kept falling apart. Not a studio flat as advertised but simply an en-suite room with a microwave on the dressing table. Comms on check in misleading. Did not get access codes in advance as advertised to be sure we were getting before travelling. Cleaner was drinking beer and smoking at picnic table out front and left cans and ashes behind. No lift and steep stairs which would be an issue for less mobile people. Free parking at rear was good.

Nice place, shame about the communication.

They bombard you with emails beforehand and I only received the door codes in the third email of the day i checked in. Also, they are not upfront about their deposit charge. They take a damage deposit but you will not get all of it refunded and will have to check in the coming days to see whether they have refunded any of it.

It is in a good Location, but the room is very poor, and the bed sheet is dirty. You need to be careful, as they ask you to keep the room tidy, towels, bed, etc, before you leave, unless they charge you. You need to wash the cups through the bin, which is all okay, but they should tell you that earlier, not the night you are leaving. They take a deposit to be refunded more than any of the value in the room.

Needs a good clean and new decor

The rooms decor that I stayed in was very tired and in desperate need of freshening up. There were dusty cobwebs and signs of damp on the ceiling. Pictures attached. There was a desk but no chair so couldn’t do any work at the desk itself. The bin in the room was absolutely filthy. Also, when I turned the sink tap on it sprayed water everywhere so that needs replacing.

I was told last minute that I needed photo ID or would not be allowed to stay in property. I was working away and do not always have photo ID if I do not need it for work etc. I was sent a link to send ID details 10 minutes before check in. Very poor. Why wasn’t this done when I booked. This has never happened before while checking in only when abroad. I would not recommend to stay here.
