Very rural, and good stop for cycling trips

This place is good value (not expensive) for anyone doing a hiking or cycling trip in the general area. You are not far from the Sallandse Heuvelrug (forested and hilly area of natural beauty). The accommodation is quite distinctive. It's a working farm (they have chickens walking about, Alpacas, and a cowshed), and the farmhouse in which you stay has some original features (from when it was a working farmhouse). The host was very welcoming, explained how everything worked, and made a nice breakfast in the morning, which included a sort of pancake, fresh berries, and local yogurt from a farm down the road (as well as other bits and pieces). The place is in the middle of nowhere! Thus, given that there is no dinner provided, remember to turn up with food already/or already eaten! if you walk through the forest, however, there is (quite surprisingly) a sort of industrial development that has a couple of fastfood type places. That was useful for me as I turned up late, and after cycling all day was hungry. Overall, I enjoyed my 1-night stay.

Wat een heerlijk verblijf in dit Bed & Breakfast! Het ziet er mooi, netjes en sfeervol uit. Onwijs leuke vriendelijke gastvrouw die een heerlijk ontbijt serveert. Lekker fietsen en wandelen in de omgeving. Aanrader!

Sehr schöne Unterkunft auf einem Bauernhof. Schön gebaut, geräumig und ein toller Service. Das Frühstück unbedingt mit bestellen! Nur 2 negative Punkte: 1. Das queensize Bett ist 2x70 und sehr weich am Rand - wenn man nicht mittig liegt droht man aus dem Bett zu fallen oder zum Partner zu rutschen. Ich habe dadurch nicht so gut geschlafen. 2. Die Dusche hat keine Abtrennung. Stört weniger als befürchtet, aber man mach trotzdem so allerhand im Bad nass. Der Rest ist aber wirklich schön und preislich ohnehin eine Wucht.
