Nice hotel Lovely setting. Staff pleasant. We stayed Sunday and Monday no food available and pub shuts early on both nights which we were not aware about. Apart from that had a lovely stay

Obviously the location is beautiful but the hotel is in need of TLC. This is not reflected in the price as it did not include breakfast. The two ladies running the bar and waiting on tables were totally rushed off their feet as they were also checking clients into hotel, booking breakfasts, taking food orders and answering queries. It seemed very unfair that they were having to do all of this. However, to their credit they coped very well and were polite and calm but clients were also sympathetic to their plight. This hotel has so much to offer in location and charm but feels like money is not being invested. Would eat here again as food quick and very nice, amazing due to amount of guests.

Excellent position for access to boatyard; and the service was great. The manager was very accommodating when it came to booking an early breakfast and the food was very good. I’d highly recommend this hotel and would happily use it again

Room was clean and comfortable. Friendly staff good atmosphere in the bar. Food was good. Great aera for exploring. Stayed here before and the function room and some areas are looking neglected we understand the roof needs replacing on the function room and that there are plans in progress shorty. Needs some love to restore the curb appeal around the check in entrance to give a better first impression. Enjoyed our stay here and good value for money.

This is our 2nd stay in this hotel, and once again, it was perfect for us! There has been a change in management since we were last here, and the current manager & partner were busy decorating the rooms. They have a lot to do, but are clearly working hard on it. They are friendly and welcoming. The chef there is fantastic! He is gradually changing the menu, but all the food we had was superb! Very good cooked breakfast, and the evening meal we had was excellent- try the Tandoori Lamb Chops, they’re wonderful! Nothing is too much for these hosts, and we will definitely be returning for a 3rd year!
