"The air conditioning kept giving out and had maintenance come in 3 times.. Nothing worse than having maintenance come in, in a vacation and then never got fixed. It was until I went down stairs to the main office did they decide to change my room. The sink in the new room would take for ever to drain. This place needs an over haul. It's not what it used to be. "

"Beautiful property. Clean room. However its a bit Overpriced for what you get. They tried to overcharge me for the "hotel fee" immediately upon check in. Just be prepared to over pay for everything and be hounded over and over by relentless vendors when you're relaxing on the beach. The town of Puerto Peñasco is in rough shape, and reminded me of the dirty sketchy side streets of ghetto Tijuana. But hey.. it's Mexico "

"Third time I stay at RIU and always amazing. Staff is friendly, every area in the hotel is clean and the food is delicius. For me and my family is the best hotel in Mazatlan!!"

"This hotel is outdated and needs a good renovation. Water from the shower was all over the room bathroom (Even with the door closed), drain was half blocked so a pool on the shower was created. Floors were full of scratches and trims were all broken or damaged. Bed was OK They provide a bare minimum of bathroom amenities (be prepared to bring your own stuff) Hotel is well located but seems like they dont care about guests complaints."

"It was a lovely property - lots of garden area with many trees and flowering bushes, lots of birds. Many eating areas - all good. Pleasant open feel to the whole lobby and eating places. beautiful infinity pool and many different places to sit for the day. The beach was not the greatest, but good enough - sand sloped down and some large rock formations in water - a good flat beach could be walked to south of this beach. Located ok for out of resort restaurants and shops. Room was clean and had everything I needed - nice patio overlooking the gardens and pool and ocean."
