"This is a pretty good priced hotel but there were some issues too. I want other travelers to make informed decisions
The Good:
-Staff there is excellent. Very nice and responsive. I was there for 3 days and the staff attitude was by far the best thing about the hotel
-Breakfast was ok. Breads, cereals and boiled eggs and yogurt (just so you know the reality)
-Room was clean when I arrived
-Wasnt as noisy as I thought it would be. Its not silent but its not loud either
-Its on a strip where there are pretty good restaurants (but the one attached to the hotel was closed permanently) I recommend the Mexican one across the street (excellent food!)
-there is a lot of parking for guests
-the room i had was HUGE and even had a sofa
-the wifi worked really well
Not as good:
-The rooms are run down and the doors to the room dont seem 100% safe as the latch didn't meet the door jamb properly (there was a deadbolt though)
-The king size bed had people shaped dips in it because it was old. Still comfy but old
-the little soaps weren't very good and I had to go buy my own
-the neighborhood is fairly sketchy
-the laundromat and workout room is currently closed so dont expect that at part of your stay
Overall because of the staff's excellent attitude and the price being what it is, it's a decent place to stay.
3.5 stars (and I stay in a lot of hotels)"
"Rooms were clean and spacious. Hotel is a comfortable walking distance from everything downtown. Lots of restaurants close by. Staff were lovely. Parking costs were atrocious, however that's a consequence of being in a hotel downtown."
"Some things looked shabby and some hall floors were dirty. In the breakfast room, the floors were not swept daily. The curtains in my room were torn. My little coffee pot didn’t work but I was able to access hot water for my tea from the water dispensers downstairs in the hallway, which was not always easy while I was caring for my grandson."
