The location is breathtaking, right on the ocean. We shared the large hot tub with our friends. The accommodation was large and had everything we needed. The owners were very helpful and nice to talk to. Due to the previous weather the beach was inaccessible due to the stairs being washed away. Breakfast is no longer an option at this location but we were provided with coupons for a couple of restaurants in the area, both were excellent, The Clucking Hen, especially.

Very friendly owner - a pleasure to talk with Lonnie. Beautiful grounds. Sunrise is lovely coming up over the Atlantic. A nice place to call home the few days spent in the Cabot Trail. Hope to come back one day.

It was nice for our couples getaway with great views. The bed could be updated as we found it uncomfortable, but otherwise happy with our stay. Location and amenities were good.

Construction crew left there door cracked and food all over kitchenWe are definitely in the woods and I always warn people about leaving their front doors open or cracked and not to leave a lot of food around inside is definitely something that people don't understand with Critters I can't stop them from coming in I can only warn people that they could if they don't take precautions

We had a lovely stay at the Sea Parrot! Our room was clean and comfortable. The hot tub was great and the view is gorgeous. Would recommend !

Our host upgraded us to the cottage as my husband was too tall for the boat and it happened to be free. It was lovely and very clean right on the water. Everything we needed was there, including movies, cable, wifi, coffee and hairdryer, etc. I would happily return!

This is a Beautiful Place , very well maintain in an idylic setting. I would caution that the description is not absolutely forthcoming. I prepaid for a room with a double bed and a Queen bed (I have rechecked my itinerary to make sure ) what I got was a Queen and a Walmart style pull out bed, The real issue was that it was over a garage with 13 steep steps and my traveling companion was my 92 year old mother , who managed it like a trooper BUT. If you are able body this is a beautiful suite with a fantastic view spotlessly clean but not for the ederly! That shhould be made clear.

I'm glad that you had a nice time and that you did love the spot as far as you are elderly partner I had no idea that she was that age and that was the only room that was available to book for you when you booked I would have tried to do something else maybe flip-flopped around to the ground level Apartments we had I known as far as the pull out it's a double pull out stationary bed so if you do return to us again please call me Direct and I will make sure that your combination suits your needs again thank you very much and have safe travels

Truly a wonderful place to stay. Our room had a nautical theme that was well done. Everything was spotlessly clean. We had a balcony, a bubble tub in the bath and a hot tub outside. The property is located on the ocean with spectacular views. Breakfast chits were provided for a wonderful breakfast just donn the road a piece.

Excellent stay
We had an excellent stay at the Sea Parrot. Our lake facing room was very comfortable with all amenities (fridge, microwave etc). Hotels.com website advertises the suite as having a double bed and a queen bed but in fact it is queen and a sofa pull out bed. it was not uncomfortable to sleep in but they need to make it evident at the start of the resot information. Somewhere in the description below it does say it is a pull out and this I had realized after concluding the booking. That said, Lonnie is an excellent hostess and we had some good conversations. Would highly recommend this resort anyone travelling to the Cabot Trails.

Great place with fantastic pancakes
Minuses - a little bit outdated and check in until 7pm Pluses (much more) - fantastic location and settings. Owner is a little bit rough, but if you find a way to her heart - you'll find fantastic host. And pancakes - never forget that taste - the best in the world

Wonderful gem! we were there for 3 nights and were so pleased with every aspect of our trip and stay there. Lonnie is an amazing host and a killer cook. Breakfast cooked to order; good food, good company with other guests. Definitely want to come back and stay longer :)

We loved our stay at the Wood Cottage! Cozy with an ocean view from the front porch- we watched a seal from the porch swing, and relaxed to the sounds of waves and owls at night. It was very peaceful and quiet. The cottage itself was well stocked with all we needed and then some. The innkeeper was very kind and helpful. Highly recommended!!

A wonderful find in a beautiful place.
A really beautiful view with all you dream of finding. Hot tub overlooking the ocean, lovely grounds with lots of comfortable chairs/loungers. Everything you need to be at home when traveling.

We never actually got to stay at this property. When we arrived the Property Manager, Lonnie, informed us that the suite we had paid for was not available, and that instead we would need to stay in a trailer. She gave us two options, neither of which smelled very nice. One had a dirty bathroom and broken electric outlets. When I asked to be switched to a suite at the soonest possible opportunity, Lonnie got very angry and said we did not have to stay there at all. She was very mad at Expedia saying that they have put her in difficult situations many times, overbooking her rooms and leaving her to deal with clients. We informed her that we were the ones stuck in the middle, and due to her yelling, in quite an insulting manner, we would go if we could have our money back. She continued to yell about Expedia and eventually refunded the money saying 'good luck finding anywhere else to stay'. It was a horrible experience, and the worst behaviour from a person in the service industry I have ever witnessed. I highly recommend avoiding this property!

It is very hard for me to figure out how you couls access the avil. units offered to you when you never stayed. As far as rude I offered you a breakfast free for 3-days. I also offered you something to cook for supper since you did not eat prior to arrival which was not my responsibility. So when all was said and done you decided not to accept anything I was trying to help you so I decided that refunded you and not having you stay was the best solution. Sorry Expedia make this mistake all I was trying to do was help you out. All the best

Very unique accommodation - surprisingly comfortable. Always a pleasure to find things immaculately clean particularly when renting an efficiency unit (we BBQed both evenings).

The view was beautiful!
The view was beautiful! The room we stayed in was the perfect size for a week for the two of us and a small dog. The breakfast was delicious and the host and hostess were very nice and accommodating. This was the perfect place to relax and walk on the beach and also visit the nearby Cape Breton Highland National Park. We especially enjoyed our breakfast on the porch each morning and visiting with folks from other countries.

Much Less Than Expected
Very disappointed that the description did not reflect the actual unit and will never go by description alone when booking a stay. An older one bedroom Travel Trailer with a pull out sofa bed in the dining area is NOT a two bedroom cottage! A camper queen bed is NOT the same as a regular queen size bed, with width is similar but the length is much shorter and it is about 4" thick on a plywood base. The attached deck was nice but the description said patio or balcony which several other actual cottages on the property had.

Unit is only 4-years old and when booking this unit it is a trailer oceanfront and is all that is represented guests love this unit sorry you did not. Next time if any call me book another unit.

On the Cabot Trail
The Sea Parrot is a combination of a hotel, a B&B, and a cottage all in one. The rooms are in a separate building so you have more privacy, but you go to the main house for breakfast which is prepared by the owner. I wish the beds were more comfortable, but the ocean view from the balcony is fantastic. You choose your breakfast the night before and the time you'll be having it, the owner prepares it in the morning, and you enjoy it on the patio with an ocean view. If you're looking for luxury, or for someone to do your bed every morning, this isn't for you. If you're looking for a decent place on the Cabot trail, with amazing view...you're at the right place. The reason I wouldn't recommend it to my friends and family because they're more into a hotel style accommodation than a B&B style.

We had a lovely stay at Sea Parrot. The property is beautiful, with lots of amenities and things to do. Our accommodations were spotlessly clean, with an amazing view of the water. We enjoyed the outdoor hot tub and the many spots to relax in a chair or hammock by the water.

Les gens sont accueillants et état des lieux est excellant. C'est un endroit tranquille et relaxant avec accès au bord de mer et à un immense terrain. J'aurais aimé pouvoir me faire à déjeuner ou du BBQ mais les installations réservées ne le permettaient pas. En général, nous avons beaucoup apprécié.
