The unit was disgusting. The walls had chucks of missing paint and stains all over. The bedding was old, yellowed and stained. Mattresses were stained and ripped. The furniture was wrecked, stained, broken and the lamps didn’t work. Ac had a moldy odor. I would not stay here again if it was free.

The location was nice by it being right next to the ocean and all rooms appeared to be pointing towards the ocean The parking situation was a nightmare Because it only has a parking deck across the street from the condo with very tight spaces and trying to get across the street from the parking deck is difficult. Then when you get back to the building there is not a direct way to get into the building. You have to go around to the end of the building or go through several doors and the pool area to get to a elevator. Layout is very poor. The room that we were in was dated and Not kept up. The floors were dirty and the in unit washer was broken with a note not to use The tv was very bad with only a few channels available. The hot tub area downstairs was not maintained well and had mildew and mold growing on the sides. The check In process Process was aggravating also probably because we booked with a 3rd party. But I wouldn’t call this place a Resort. More like a overpriced condo rental. I definitely would not recommended and will Not stay here again Very disappointed ☹️.

My main problem is that our confirmation email did not include information concerning needing a linen package or needing to bring toilet paper so we had no idea that we would get to our condo and there would be no toilet paper in the condo. Big problem when you have had a long drive. Our first condo had a major leak in the kitchen sink that leaked out and soaked the carpet. Our second condo did not have working Wi-Fi or a linen package and we had to wait until eight in the evening to get our sheets to put our kids to bed.

I liked being on the beach. The pools were out of order for repairs. There was mold in the shower, visible garbage under the bed, the vent fell from the microwave when I opened it.

I stayed for three nights and never left the resort! It had everything I needed. Easy access to the beach, crystal clear pools, a great pool bar, and amazing restaurant/chef!

This property was absolutely amazing! We loved everything about it!
They had the indoor pool, hot tub & lazy river so the kids could play even on a rainy or cold day! Plus the outdoor pools & hot tub. They have an outdoor bar by the pool which was perfect! We were right there on the beach with a perfect view. When we checked in the room was very clean & already made a statement of relaxation. I can not wait to stay here again!

It was a good deal for the price. This room could sleep a lot of people and the view was spectacular. We did not use the pools but they looked like a lot of fun.

The unit we stayed in was clean and had plenty of room for my wife and I. We have stayed at the Avista off and on for more than 10 years. The time is starting to show on the general appearance of the building, could use a good cleaning and fresh coat of paint in the common area's.

When I arrived to checkin I didn't know we had to check in at Elliott so the lady at the front desk informed me I had to check in with Elliott so I asked her for the address so when I arrived there at one of the Elliott offices the lady informed me I was at the wrong one I needed to go to the other closer to Avista and on top of having to go through all of that it was pouring down rain. Was not very happy at all with that experience.

I rented the property through Elliott Rentals - the size of the room was outstanding - the kitchen was equipped well. The AC output was weak - it took quite a while for the room to reach a cool temperature. I was disappointed that when I approached the hotel desk to ask about the AC, I was told that if I had ANY problem at all - that I had to contact Elliott Rentals. That was that, and they made no offer to do anything for me.

The unit needed a better cleaning and it never seemed to get cool enough- the room or refrigerator.
Noises were easily heard through the walls.

My stay at the Avista was very enjoyable, however, I was not aware that this was a third party rental and that I was responsible for stripping the linens, taking the trash out, and various other chores that I had gone on vacation to get away from. I have booked through hotels.com many times and this was my first experience like this. After reading the fine print on my reservation information, I realized I had to go off-site to the third party's office to retrieve and return keys and pool passes. The fine print did not mention anything about this being a private rental and that the Avosta itself had nothing to do with it. The gentleman at the front desk actually told me that if I had any issues not to call them unless it had something todo with the pool or amenities. I would like to be told up front of this type of rental before I book.

Spacious room right on the ocean. Excellent for the price. Wish I would've known we wouldn't have housekeeping services (including no toilet paper supplied) before booking. Otherwise, responsive rental agency and great place to stay, overall.

I usually don't give any reviews, but I felt like I should this time. We booked a unit at the Avista using Elliot management. Check in was easy and staff was friendly. Upon arrival the room wasn't very clean, patio chairs were very dirty and in need of a deep cleaning. The room had one blanket and when asked for an extra one at the hotel reception, they said they can't help and I should contact Elliot management. I did, but they had no extra blankets and even if they did have one, I would have to go get it from their office, not on site. I ended up buying one the next day. Elliot management offered to reimburse me. We had no cleaning service for the entire stay (4 days). We had to remove the trash ourselves and discard outside.
