"This historic, iconic property did not disappoint; we have had the pressure of meeting the gentleman that renovated it during the turn of the century therefore had been very much looking forward to visiting. However…QUITE expensive! paying $32 to rent an umbrella on top of at least $20 (min) for a drink seemed a bit much, given what e had already paid to stay (and park) there."

"Close to the airport, was convenient. You do hear airplane and train noise all night."

"We chose this property for the amenities available. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and had come here previously for our 10th. We loved it then so were excited to come back and enjoy the updated accommodations. However, after arriving we found things to be the opposite. The property was clean but catered much more to weddings and private parties than their guests. The tiki bar on the beach closed early due to weddings two of our three days there. On our third and final day, the pool closed at 1:00 due to a private party. On top of that, we asked for fresh towels for our room and never received them. We had to go down and get them ourselves. One of the elevators broke down and never was fixed. My husband was harassed by the valet when we got our car about why we were not eating anywhere there when we had to go to a business dinner out of town. Unfortunately, because of our experience, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone."

"I stayed in the maxine building and its was not as expected, I woke up to roaches in my room and the bathroom, I had to be moved to the main building the Catalina where I expected to stay originally the phones weren’t working it took them forever to bring us wash cloths it’s wasn’t horrible however it wasn’t worth the money spent the room in the Catalina was a bit better no roaches obviously and the sheets were a bit better quality. I would come back however I’d like to avoid the Maxine building."

"Everything was good, the only things I would suggest would be to upgrade the bathrooms a little bit and to have the resort have a night life. Example- silent party with headphones, comedy night , sip and chat things that won’t be too disturbing to other that don’t like noise. It will give the guest that don’t like to leave the resort something to look forward to on certain nights or rainy nights."

"We went for our 25th anniversary. The room was well-maintained, clean, and nice. It was a good size and was quiet. The pool area was well set up, and it closed at 6 pm. The hotel offered two bars and two restaurants. One bar was outside by the pool. The hotel was off the beach, and you could come and go easily. In the area, there were many dining options. My husband mentioned that he had put in the reservation, it was our anniversary, and he was hoping they would do something for it, but they didn't. Not a big thing, though. Upon checkout, we discovered a room charge for food and drinks that wasn't ours, but we reported it and hopefully it gets taken off. "
