The first room we were put in smelled like someone died in there, it was horrific. They had a large machine in the middle of the room that also smelled like it was burning to get rid of the smell, it also made a loud awful noise. The clerk had housekeeping remove it and got a bottle of febreeze. That made it worse. She said that’s all she could do. We were going to leave and a manager came along and said she could move us to another room. Our room was a handicapped accessible room,, she said she had another one. It had a grab bar in the shower, none by the toilet and the shower was not handicapped accessible. The site we booked from said, heated pool, hot tub, sauna and access to the water park. There was no pool, no sauna and the hot tub was broken. The waterpark is 2 small slides made for small children..not 2 60 something year olds. The hotel is also under construction so workers start banging at 6 am…the worse stay we have ever had, the a.c unit pools water out from the bottom of the unit and soaks half the carpet , we could not walk barefoot in the room you got soaking wet feet. I have never complained about a hotel room before and can usually find some good in any stay. There’s nothing good to say about this hotel. We have stayed at many Hampton Inns, but will never be back at this one. And NOISE….little children ran down the hallway excited to get to the water park and banged on doors all along the way. Management does not enforce quiet hours.
