Room was spacious, very quiet, unexpectedly supplied water bottles, coffee, tea, snacks and their theme decor breakfast was presented beautifully and delicious. Hosts were very knowledgeable of the area and when leaving helped us locate other destinations to locate before flying home. Had a very relaxing stay

Fantastic stay!

Deanna and Alec were very friendly and knowledgeable of the region. Gourmet breakfasts were amazing. Convenient to all the Niagara on the Lake activities.

Very welcoming and comfortable B&B. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms are separate from the rest of the house along with a mini kitchenette and lounge area for the guests. Breakfast was served in the dining room and was phenomenal! I highly recommend this B & B for your next Niagara visit.

Everything is fantastic. The host is really friendly and kind, plus the room interior is uniquely designed yet well-balanced. This is a place to take a good rest, however, it's better to drive a car here.

Fantastic little gem in NOTL Very quiet street a short walk to all the shops, restaurants, theatre. Lovely owners who truly put an effort into ensuring you are comfortable. Breakfast was smashing. A very nice quest area outside to relax in also.

Deana and Alec's Explorer House was impeccable in every way....detail to all amenities, cleanliness, decor, comfort, privacy, etc. They thought of everything their guests could want and provided it! The rooms and grounds are lovely! The breakfast was wonderful....especially the homemade maple/walnut scones! We would highly recommend their lovely B&B!

A Gem of a Property

We very much enjoyed staying here. The proprietors are friendly and responsive. Amenities were excellent; breakfast was wonderful. One of the best parts was talking to the owners; it quickly became evident why they call it "Explorer House." The house only has three rooms and you are seated together for breakfast, enhancing the experience one gets with a true B&B. Cannot recommend this one enough.

The Explorer House was an absolutely beautiful place to stay! The owners , Deanna and Alec, were more than accommodating. Their attention to detail makes it an extra special experience. The breakfast every morning is exceptional. (Make sure to bring an appetite!) we went during a snow storm, so we utilized Uber for transportation, but in the warmers months, it’s an easy walk into the historical town with lots of shopping and places to eat. 10/10 recommended and would definitely come back again !

Explorer House is Great!!

We were looking for a little get-away and Explorer House provided us with a clean and safe jumping off place. Starting the day with terrific brunches, created and served by our hosts, Deanna and Alec, we were nourished until dinner. Deanna answered all our questions on recommended places to shop and relax and all proved out to be excellent. Yes, we highly recommend Explorer House to anyone looking for a great place to stay.

My wife and I stayed over the Easter weekend and was warmly greeted by Deanna. I saw pictures on the Google maps and Expedia page but to step into it is something to behold! Everything was carefully curated to the finest detail, capturing the theme of the Safari. The bed was comfortable, and there’s a balcony for some casual reading. And although we didn’t enjoy the outdoor hot tub, but there’s one inside the room with all the amenities for a great experience. We chose breakfast on the day we left and was treated to a delicious breakfast, again with beautiful decor surrounding us and details to the napkin with the dragonfly. My favourite was the eggs Benedict! We left very grateful for this weekend getaway!

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Explorer House. The innkeepers, Deanna and Alec Bishop were fantastic. Each morning we had a 3 course fabulous breakfast, typically including home baked muffins or scones, a fruit bowl with locally grown fruits of strawberries, blueberries, etc., and an egg dish each excellent. The dish and utensil setup each morning was a unique and clever mix of items from around the world. Deanna was a veritable encyclopedia of what to do, where to go and how best to plan each day. The room was lovely, spacious and fully equipped. There were several common areas both inside and out to relax and enjoy our time. We would strongly recommend Explorer House to anyone planning a visit to Niagara on the Lake!!
