Beautiful sea view from our bed…so picturesque and calming. The pub is a great gathering place to sit, drink and meet other nice travelers. A real gem!

A reasonably priced bed and excellent breakfast. The room was spotless and all the staff are pleasant and helpful even when under pressure. Right by the dog friendly beach with free parking. The only complaint was the weather!

Picture postcard idyllic location. Booked my stay the night before. To be honest I was not expecting much for £60 a night. How very wrong was I?. The accommodation is outstanding. The view is spectacular. I stayed in a single room which was spotless and had everything I needed to have a wonderful stay. The food was exceptionally good. The fish gratin was Superb but the poached eggs for breakfast are the best I have ever tasted. All food is sourced locally and I could definitely notice the difference in quality. I did not want to leave. I have been looking at booking for a longer stay but it is fully booked throughout this summer. Perfect little gem hideaway.

Excellent.

The Merrymoor was very welcoming in all respects. The owner/manager, Sarah, was unfailingly warm and helpful as were all the staff, to be fair. Everything is spotlessly clean throughout. The food was excellent for the choices we made in any case. We had a very spacious room, with large windows and an unparalled view of the bay. It was also incredibly quiet, really sound proofed. We couldn't even hear the bar downstairs even when there was live music. The Merrymoor is a lovely relaxing place to stay. It has a wonderful atmosphere, quite buzzy at times, with live music in the bar. All ages seemed happy to be there and it is dog friendly. What made it really was the friendliness of Sarah and her staff.

Schönes Hotel in toller Lage am Meer/Strand

Merrymoor Inn review

Second short stay at the Merrymoor. Fantastic service, brilliant food and room very comfortable. Made to feel very welcome, all staff very accommodating. Can highly recommend.

Sunset, Mawgan Porth Beach, which is directly opposite the Merrymoor.

What an AMAZING place this is. If I'm honest, I picked it as it was dog friendly, offered breakfast and free parking, for closeness to Newquay and the price BUT when I got here was blown away by the location, opposite the beach... it was breathtaking! (Staff and room were lovely and the brekkie superb... best veggie sausages I've ever tasted!)
