We recently stayed here for 7 nights and were very comfortable in our room, amazing sea view, spacious + clean with a comfy bed, large bathroom & plenty of wardrobe space ... breakfast was incredible and the location of the hotel suited us as it was quiet - we had a car so didn't bother us that there was nothing immediately close by ... the one and only gripe we had from the minute we arrived was the reception which really let's the hotel down especially as it is a 4 star - don't know why anyone working on reception would need to be trained to welcome a guest, to know to stop chatting to each other if a guest has approached the desk, be in the least bit interested to interact ?!? First impressions are so important & after the initial terrible check in which was so lacklustre, every one of the 7 mornings that we passed reception to go into breakfast was equally as rude and nonexistent on the welcoming, stop chatting, acknowledging with a good morning as a bare minimum = literally ignored which was quite shocking really as over 7 days the desk had a number of different staff but seemingly all with the same attitude & lack of initiative or service! Breakfast, bar & restaurant staff were generally friendly and helpful. Overall a great stay for us but reception really needs addressing!
