"The hotel itself is beautiful. As a bit of a music nerd, I absolutely loved the paintings, photos, and overall vibe throughout the hotel — it’s honestly hard to beat. The décor, bar, and amenities make the place feel like a meticulously curated tribute to some of the greatest eras in music history.
The room itself was comfortable overall. When we first arrived there was a noticeable smell — not like an industrial cleaner or anything harsh — but it was slightly irritating at first, though we did get used to it after a while.
Street parking in the area is very difficult, but valet parking is available and the service was excellent.
The only real disappointment was the “City View.” The room was essentially ground level and looked out toward Oceanex containers rather than the city. We chose the upgrade expecting a higher vantage point of the city, and had we known, we likely wouldn’t have paid the extra cost. It might be worth clarifying how those rooms are described so guests know what to expect when booking.
Overall, the hotel itself is fantastic — just something to keep in mind when selecting the room type."
