2nd time staying here. Lovely hotel overall. Preferred our first time though as had a sea view which was fab. The back of the hotel faces the train track so slightly noisy if you aren't used to it, but we weren't in the room much anyway so it wasn't really a problem.

My go to for the north east when on business, good sized rooms , easy check in/out. Food in the pub part great value and better than the usual fair you get at a hotel pub Would recommend both for business and personal use

Lovely hotel in fantastic location. Very clean and comfortable. The only negative point is the lack of a dedicated reception. It’s in the bar, which is a bit off putting and out of place for such an otherwise wonderful establishment.

I usually stay in this hotel for business and it's my third time - I was a bit disappointed on this occasion as my room was smaller than usual and looked quite shabby with damage to the wall. Also disappointed that they've stopped the free drink in return for no housekeeping for eco reasons which was a nice touch. Still has a lovely menu, breakfast and atmosphere however.
